DragonTravel
It offers server-admins the possibility to add a new outstanding way of travel to their servers.

Features:
- Allows admins to set destinations for the dragons.
- Allows players with the specific permission to summon and mount a dragon and...
...fly flights which consists out of waypoints(as many as you like)
...fly to destinations which have been set by an admin before.
...fly to coordinates chosen via command.
...fly to players choosen via command(different permission-nodes for other types of travel).
...fly to your faction's home-position (Factions required)
...fly to your town's spawn (Towny required)
...fly to a home-position which has been set by this player earlier. - Allows admins to set stations and limit the mounting of dragons to these locations (or a specified radius around it).
- Possibility to require a special item for players to use the plugin (e.g. a dragon-egg)
- Making signs which automatically mount a player and bring them to the written destination on the sign.
- Permissions-Support
- Support of all Economy-Plugins supported by Vault (Vault is required for that)!
Admins can set different prices for all ways of travel! - Admins can choose in the config whether dragons of this plugin should destroy blocks or if any dragons should break blocks when touching.
- All messages are fully customizable! Default messages.yml is English, but we provide German and French language files as well.
Due to the fact that things can change rapidly in this project, I stopped maintaining instructions on the plugin and other information like a list of commands/permissions in the forums, on this page etc. and decided to create a central location where you can always find all information up-to-date: The DragonTravel-Wiki.
Please use this wiki and report all mistakes you find in there and avoid posting questions on topics like commands/permissions/sign-creation etc., which are answered in the wiki, in the comments.
The questions and requests posted in the comments are repeating and there are some questions we answer at least once per week, so we decided to write down some of those Frequently Asked Questions.
Please read the questions below and see if you can find your question there, this really saves us time we can then spend on the development of DragonTravel.
- Is it possible to change the speed the dragon's wings are flapping?

I think that your plug in is probably working as intended. I looked at your permissions, and it seems like it might be possible that OP's do not need to pay. (Looks like I will have to figure out how to work them

As long as you do not use a currency other than resources you do not need any additional plugin. :)
I fixed a problem about payment by resources some time ago, but it might be there is another problem in it.
Might be the case it is the same problem as the one about customized items. There was a problem I wasn't able to solve about a year ago and it might be the same problem here.
I'll take a look at it tomorrow. :)

Sorry about that! Yes, it allows everyone to travel without making payment, regardless of whether the sign says 0.0 or 5.0, etc. No errors occur in the log. Perhaps I need an economy plug in for it work? I do not know if that may be the case, as I wish to use payment by resources (zombie flesh!).

The config looks good and the sign layout (even though it is corrupted by the message format) looks good as well.
What is the output you get? What does DragonTravel say or is there no reaction at all when clicking the sign? Does is allow everyone to travel without paying for any travel, does it fill the server log with errors or does it do something completely different? I need some more information to be able to help you properly. :)

The set up for my sign is: [DragonTravel] Travel land 5.0

Please read the FAQ before posting requests.
If I got you right, you request a feature the enables you to manually control dragons.
We already had this feature implemented, but decided not to release it since the performance didn't fit our plans.
We might implement that in the future, but we might also skip it for the Bukkit version and implement it for Sponge only.

/dragon mount (a dragon appears and you get on it) /dragon dismount (the dragon lands, you get off it and dragon despawns)
you fly the dragon like you fly a pig... no heavy duty NASA waypoint programming required.

Makes sense.. it's certainly just a cosmetic thing and not a big deal. One of those "nice to be fixed someday" things. Another option I would like to see is customizing the colors on signs. The white "destination" text is very hard to see on the resource pack my kids like.

We actually tell the dragon to do so, but just like the thing about the wings flapping too fast: it is rendered client-side and therefore we cannot do more than to tell the dragon to look where he flies. -.-
As soon as there is a fix for that, I'll do my best to implement it.

Posted Dec 27, 2014Love this plugin - my kids are having a blast flying around on the ender dragon.
One irksome thing about it is that the dragon does not orient itself when it changes flight direction - so you end up flying sideways and such. Hopefully you can get the dragon to face the way it is flying at some point.

Posted Dec 17, 2014Haha, I'm trying to skin them into some x-wing type shape but it's not going well. Looks like a rusty old bucket falling apart as they move! They've got the sounds done already.

Edit: Maybe add it as a config option. Return to the exact point where the player mounted the dragon or find the nearest block below?
Can I download and test it now or is it waiting for bukkit staff?

Just uploaded a version containing a fix for the problem.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused by the bug, but to be honest we didn't expect that anyone could run a map without a floor and thought everyone would at least have the bedrock.
I also never expected dragons in Star Wars. ;)

Yes, that's the problem. I'll upload a version with a fix later today.
DragonTravel searches for any block below the player to ensure the player does not die from fall damage when dismounting. I guess I'll just let him fall in case there is no floor below him. :)

Thinking about it when I try to tp to a player that is flying through space I get a 'Error: hole in floor' msg. Could that be the issue?

Hey mate,
the problems seems to happen when DragonTravel searches for a save point to dismount a player. Might be the case that an infinite loop occured, but that would be kind of strange since this part of the code didn't change since Alpha 0.0.0.1.
I'll take another look at it later, do you have a special map or anything else? Something like different coordinates beginning at 256 or any mod doing something like that? :)
