DragonTravel
It offers server-admins the possibility to add a new outstanding way of travel to their servers.

Features:
- Allows admins to set destinations for the dragons.
- Allows players with the specific permission to summon and mount a dragon and...
...fly flights which consists out of waypoints(as many as you like)
...fly to destinations which have been set by an admin before.
...fly to coordinates chosen via command.
...fly to players choosen via command(different permission-nodes for other types of travel).
...fly to your faction's home-position (Factions required)
...fly to your town's spawn (Towny required)
...fly to a home-position which has been set by this player earlier. - Allows admins to set stations and limit the mounting of dragons to these locations (or a specified radius around it).
- Possibility to require a special item for players to use the plugin (e.g. a dragon-egg)
- Making signs which automatically mount a player and bring them to the written destination on the sign.
- Permissions-Support
- Support of all Economy-Plugins supported by Vault (Vault is required for that)!
Admins can set different prices for all ways of travel! - Admins can choose in the config whether dragons of this plugin should destroy blocks or if any dragons should break blocks when touching.
- All messages are fully customizable! Default messages.yml is English, but we provide German and French language files as well.
Due to the fact that things can change rapidly in this project, I stopped maintaining instructions on the plugin and other information like a list of commands/permissions in the forums, on this page etc. and decided to create a central location where you can always find all information up-to-date: The DragonTravel-Wiki.
Please use this wiki and report all mistakes you find in there and avoid posting questions on topics like commands/permissions/sign-creation etc., which are answered in the wiki, in the comments.
The questions and requests posted in the comments are repeating and there are some questions we answer at least once per week, so we decided to write down some of those Frequently Asked Questions.
Please read the questions below and see if you can find your question there, this really saves us time we can then spend on the development of DragonTravel.
- Is it possible to change the speed the dragon's wings are flapping?

Posted Dec 29, 2013I've just ported my server from 1.6.4 to 1.7.2 (current build). The plugin works as it did before, but I've noticed that the flight got really choppy. You fly a few (around 20-30 blocks) and stop in midair for around 1 to 2 seconds and fly another 20 blocks. It's still way faster than walking, but it's not as smooth as it used to be. Is there anything that could have gone wrong? Maybe I should change the speed or something? I've simply used my old config from 1.6.4.

So the dragons are killed between the dismount of the rider and the removal of the dragon?
Normally dragons shouldn't receive any damage...
I'll take a look at that next week, could you please create a ticket for that? :)

Posted Dec 9, 2013"Ender dragon can be hit with aoe's (heroes dmg) while traveling, Many players use to end travel early but the seemingly unintended side effect is that 1/3ish dragons drop both egg and spawn portal where they drop, so indestructible portals/hundreds of eggs will be present all over before long if not fixed."
Apparently Dragons can be killed and they drop things such as eggs/etc - is there a way to prevent this?

We have uploaded it to BukkitDev. As per the rules of BukkitDev, we cannot actually paste links to external site downloads without explicitly stating that these staff do not support it. The file is waiting for approval, and should be made available by the BukkitDev staff soon. :)

Big thanks goes to @Tobiyas for his help with the damn obfuscated code. :D
I just uploaded DragonTravel v0.0.0.10 which should work with CB 1.7.2-R0.1.
The update to CB 1.7-R0.1 killed the injection-method for custom entities, so the RyeDragon (our custom EnderDragon) cannot be inserted the way we did it for about two years now.
Tobiyas gave me a hint on how he solved the problem and I implemented it, so dragons can be spawned, but somehow the update also killed our movement-algorithm, so the dragon goes anywhere, but not towards the target-location.
I got no free time during next two weeks except my breaks at work and I try to fix the bug in them, but I cannot say when a new build will be released - might be tomorrow or next week.
Sorry for the delay, but the damn update broke DragonTavel. -.- ======

One tip, where I failed first,
They killed the Injection Method for EntityTypes. (EntityTypes#a(Object[])).
And now when using the method, it throws an IlligalStateException.
Just write me a message when you need help. Still got it to work.

Posted Nov 17, 2013It would be nice, if after dropping the player, instead of instant disappearing dragon would reach the usual flight level, flew forward for a bit, and then up to the sky, to some real big height over the view range and then despawn. It would feel like it's more than just a carrier. on spawn it could also show up from the sky :). That would make it even cooler ;].
