DragonTravel
It offers server-admins the possibility to add a new outstanding way of travel to their servers.
More videos on DragonTravel (including tutorials)
Features:
- Allows admins to set destinations for the dragons.
- Allows players with the specific permission to summon and mount a dragon and...
...fly flights which consists out of waypoints(as many as you like)
...fly to destinations which have been set by an admin before.
...fly to coordinates chosen via command.
...fly to players choosen via command(different permission-nodes for other types of travel).
...fly to your faction's home-position (Factions required)
...fly to your town's spawn (Towny required)
...fly to a home-position which has been set by this player earlier. - Allows admins to set stations and limit the mounting of dragons to these locations (or a specified radius around it).
- Possibility to require a special item for players to use the plugin (e.g. a dragon-egg)
- Making signs which automatically mount a player and bring them to the written destination on the sign.
- Permissions-Support
- Support of all Economy-Plugins supported by Vault (Vault is required for that)!
Admins can set different prices for all ways of travel! - Admins can choose in the config whether dragons of this plugin should destroy blocks or if any dragons should break blocks when touching.
- All messages are fully customizable! Default messages.yml is English, but we provide German and French language files as well.
Due to the fact that things can change rapidly in this project, I stopped maintaining instructions on the plugin and other information like a list of commands/permissions in the forums, on this page etc. and decided to create a central location where you can always find all information up-to-date: The DragonTravel-Wiki.
Please use this wiki and report all mistakes you find in there and avoid posting questions on topics like commands/permissions/sign-creation etc., which are answered in the wiki, in the comments.
The questions and requests posted in the comments are repeating and there are some questions we answer at least once per week, so we decided to write down some of those Frequently Asked Questions.
Please read the questions below and see if you can find your question there, this really saves us time we can then spend on the development of DragonTravel.
- Is it possible to change the speed the dragon's wings are flapping?
- Is it possible to remove the dragon's health-bar?
- Is it possible to control the dragon manually?
- Is it possible to move the rider closer to the dragon to avoid him flying above it?
- DragonTravel does not start, what can be the problem?
You can find the answers to those questions in the FAQ!
Please read the paragraph above before posting any questions!

Posted Aug 24, 2013There isn't and that's the problem. -.-
I guess I'll implement a temporary fix to avoid crashes, but that won't be a perfect solution to the problem.
The dragons which stayed, could you remove them using "/dt remdragons"? I think this doesn't work for SHIFT-dismounted dragons, but it's worth a try.

Thank you! and my frustration lies in the crashes, I know you guys put out one of the BEST plugins on bukkit, so I hope my frustration didnt come across as personal! :)
I figured it was some weird error. Some dragons would stay on server and i couldnt kill em, several of them, so i figured this was an issue.
Is there a way to block the "shift" off of the dragons?

Nothing, this error occurs when someone gets of his dragon during a journey using SHIFT and tthe dragon continues to fly into unloaded chunks.
The great "horse-update" brought this problem and it isn't that easy to fix.
We are working on it and hope to be able to fix it soon.

I am using Phoenix with the new permission. I have a feeling it has to do with my permissions plugin, and not DT.
Thanks for the help :3

That's not possible, we cannot modify that without using Spout.

Which version are you running? From DragonTravel Phoenix on, there is a completely new permissions-system, you find it in the new temporary wiki at dragontravelwiki.phiwa.eu. :)

I had already implemented that, but I wanted a solution without Shift-dismount.
I'll give it another try tomorrow. :)

Isn't it possible to make the plugin check for dragons without a player on them and then dismount them? So whenever a player dismounts a dragon the dragon will then despawn. You will still be able to Click Shift to Dismount but at least the dragon will despawn and it will stop the server crashes.

Okay, good to hear that it only was a problem with GroupManager.
The problem about the crashing server is a known issue which was brought in by the Horse-Update which enabled the "Click Shift to Dismount"-feature. We currently cannot prevent those dismounts and are waiting for a fix of that problem. If we find a different solution for that, we'll implement it as soon as possible. :)

I got it fixed, turns out it was a problem in Group Manager, but I found another problem... Whenever a play dismounts a dragon in the middle of a flight it crash the server. I don't know if this helps any but the dragon flies out of render distance. I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with Group Manager or any other plugin, so if you could take a look that would be great!
Thank you so much for helping me!

UPDATE:
I just tested it again and it works perfectly for me, so I guess you got a problem with your permissions in GroupManager.
To allow a user/group to use the Flight called "TestyFlight", you need to give them the permission
dt.flight.testyflight / dt.flight.TestyFlight (not case-sensitive).
If you want them to be able to use all flights, give them the permissions dt.flight.*.
I'll take a look at it later, maybe I made a mistake in the permissions-system. :D
I'll give you a message as soon as I tested it.

Posted Aug 12, 2013First of all let me say this is an amazing plugin, I am having some trouble though. I'm trying to give default users the permission to click on a flight sign and ride that outside of the spawn. However, when I start up the server and click on the sign it just says that I don't have the correct permissions. I'm not sure if it's group manager or your plugin but something isn't working. I've also tried giving them "dt.*" and I still get the same message. There is any error in the console or log so it's getting pretty annoying.
I really hope you can help me with this, it's an amazing plugin and would a shame to have to give it up.

I guess it happens when someone accidently dismounts during a travel/flight without using the "/dt dismount"-command. This was made possible by the "horse update" which introduced the "Press Shift to dismount"-feature and that way introduced a huge problem for us because we haven't been able to avoid those crashes yet.
We are working on a fix, but until it is finished, the manual dismount without the command leads to lags/crashes. -.-
