It offers server-admins the possibility to add a new outstanding way of travel to their servers.
More videos on DragonTravel (including tutorials)
Features:
- Allows admins to set destinations for the dragons.
- Allows players with the specific permission to summon and mount a dragon and...
...fly flights which consists out of waypoints(as many as you like)
...fly to destinations which have been set by an admin before.
...fly to coordinates chosen via command.
...fly to players choosen via command(different permission-nodes for other types of travel).
...fly to your faction's home-position (Factions required)
...fly to your town's spawn (Towny required)
...fly to a home-position which has been set by this player earlier. - Allows admins to set stations and limit the mounting of dragons to these locations (or a specified radius around it).
- Possibility to require a special item for players to use the plugin (e.g. a dragon-egg)
- Making signs which automatically mount a player and bring them to the written destination on the sign.
- Permissions-Support
- Support of all Economy-Plugins supported by Vault (Vault is required for that)!
Admins can set different prices for all ways of travel! - Admins can choose in the config whether dragons of this plugin should destroy blocks or if any dragons should break blocks when touching.
- All messages are fully customizable! Default messages.yml is English, but we provide German and French language files as well.
Due to the fact that things can change rapidly in this project, I stopped maintaining instructions on the plugin and other information like a list of commands/permissions in the forums, on this page etc. and decided to create a central location where you can always find all information up-to-date: The DragonTravel-Wiki.
Please use this wiki and report all mistakes you find in there and avoid posting questions on topics like commands/permissions/sign-creation etc., which are answered in the wiki, in the comments.
The questions and requests posted in the comments are repeating and there are some questions we answer at least once per week, so we decided to write down some of those Frequently Asked Questions.
Please read the questions below and see if you can find your question there, this really saves us time we can then spend on the development of DragonTravel.
- Is it possible to change the speed the dragon's wings are flapping?
- Is it possible to remove the dragon's health-bar?
- Is it possible to control the dragon manually?
- Is it possible to move the rider closer to the dragon to avoid him flying above it?
- DragonTravel does not start, what can be the problem?
You can find the answers to those questions in the FAQ!
Please read the paragraph above before posting any questions!

Thanks! Sounds awesome! I'd seriously donate like $20 bucks if you got this to work, DT is one of my favorite plugins already and that would make it even more awesome. =P

Posted Jul 19, 2013@Phiwa We're hoping to create some on rails dragon rider pvp. It'd be pretty awesome if I could just get them to take damage. Thanks for the reply!

We disabled damage to riders to prevent riders from dieing while riding through a mountain (or somethng similar), but why would you want them to die?^^

Posted Jul 19, 2013Would there happen to be a permission to make it so the player can take damage or die whilst on the dragon?
Love the plugin. Thanks!

Yes, we know that, but there is no way to prevent players from using Shift at the moment. -.- We are working on a fix and hope to be able to implement one into the recode-version.

There is a bug in the unmounting, in 1.6.2 you can unmount using shift. This currently overrides the unmount permission. People without the unmount permission can still unmount.

The versions you use have little in common with the recode in work which we hope will be released into the alpha next week, so the "falling down"-problem should already be solved in the new version and the restriction that only players with sufficient permissions can destory signs has always been part of DragonTravel. :)

I know what you mean, but build in a protection for creative mode or something with a permission that only those people can remove signs.
Also I have noticed that some people who disconnect would fall down. Maybe you should do something like on a player disconnect event that they land safely on the ground.
If I had more time I would like to help you out but this weekend I don't have enough time...

Right-Click is "use", left-click would lead fo.complications in creative-mode.
I might add it as an opt-in option in the config. :)

You should add an left click event for the signs. Currently its only right click.

It's a known bug that economy currently does not work, but I do not fix it because we'll launch an alpha version of our complete recode of DragonTravel soon and prefer to spend our time on the development of the new version with more features and hopefully (after the alpha) less bugs. :)

Posted Jul 11, 2013My non admin users only have these permissions
- dt.dismount - dt.travel - dt.travelsigns.use
Yet when they use a travel sign [i labeled one for 100 to travel to wild] they are never charged.
i made sure i wasnt op, and economy is enabled. Any ideas? Im probably missing a node idk, [and i did made sure these players did not have the dt.nocost perm individually too]

There already is a nocost-permission (one for all features of the plugin), but the recode has a seperate node for every feature, so you could give new players the node to use the travel to a random location and a flight showing them your server for free. :)

Well only reason I suggested using an item is because if a player wants to, they could have traded it/given it to another player, but permissions it is then :D

Won't be fixed in this version of DragonTravel, but in the alpha of our recode which we hope to be able to release in a few weeks.
@Dalek5961
Sounds nice, but why not use the nocost-permissions? The time-limit would be the admin's job, but it would work out the same way. ;)
The recode of the plugin will contain multiworld-support, I hope that we will be able to release an alpha-version in a few weeks.

Posted Jul 9, 2013Any way to add a quick pass item? like a predefined item [perhaps non-craftable] so players can buy a free pass to ride the dragon [perhaps a pass that lasts forever and a pass that has an configurable expiration time?] this would be AWESOME for vips, online shops, or just rewards due to any events! [The pass that has an expiration time maybe looses time while the player has it in his inventory or just preset how many days it can have once it is spawned.]
Also unless i missed it, is there any multiworld support, as in get on the dragon, it flies for like 5 seconds and then teleports to another world [be it a nether or multiverse world] then you fly the the destination point or landing pad or whatever and yeah, like from one world to another? [or would this work if i add a giant nether portal in the air]
