DragonTravel
It offers server-admins the possibility to add a new outstanding way of travel to their servers.
More videos on DragonTravel (including tutorials)
Features:
- Allows admins to set destinations for the dragons.
- Allows players with the specific permission to summon and mount a dragon and...
...fly flights which consists out of waypoints(as many as you like)
...fly to destinations which have been set by an admin before.
...fly to coordinates chosen via command.
...fly to players choosen via command(different permission-nodes for other types of travel).
...fly to your faction's home-position (Factions required)
...fly to your town's spawn (Towny required)
...fly to a home-position which has been set by this player earlier. - Allows admins to set stations and limit the mounting of dragons to these locations (or a specified radius around it).
- Possibility to require a special item for players to use the plugin (e.g. a dragon-egg)
- Making signs which automatically mount a player and bring them to the written destination on the sign.
- Permissions-Support
- Support of all Economy-Plugins supported by Vault (Vault is required for that)!
Admins can set different prices for all ways of travel! - Admins can choose in the config whether dragons of this plugin should destroy blocks or if any dragons should break blocks when touching.
- All messages are fully customizable! Default messages.yml is English, but we provide German and French language files as well.
Due to the fact that things can change rapidly in this project, I stopped maintaining instructions on the plugin and other information like a list of commands/permissions in the forums, on this page etc. and decided to create a central location where you can always find all information up-to-date: The DragonTravel-Wiki.
Please use this wiki and report all mistakes you find in there and avoid posting questions on topics like commands/permissions/sign-creation etc., which are answered in the wiki, in the comments.
The questions and requests posted in the comments are repeating and there are some questions we answer at least once per week, so we decided to write down some of those Frequently Asked Questions.
Please read the questions below and see if you can find your question there, this really saves us time we can then spend on the development of DragonTravel.
- Is it possible to change the speed the dragon's wings are flapping?
- Is it possible to remove the dragon's health-bar?
- Is it possible to control the dragon manually?
- Is it possible to move the rider closer to the dragon to avoid him flying above it?
- DragonTravel does not start, what can be the problem?
You can find the answers to those questions in the FAQ!
Please read the paragraph above before posting any questions!

If it annoys me enough I may make them flights instead ..
I was also thinking about if you did add this that maybe you can make it a command when making the station like instead of /dt setstat town .. it would be /dt setstat town 50 .. this would make it so that it can fit in with every type of landing
if you don't add this it is not a huge problem for me ;-)
still love this plugin

Thats why we originally introduced Flights.
The problem with flights is that you don't know where the player starts a flight, so in most cases he will fly to the beginning and then follow the path.
As a workaround you could e.g. use a flight which has the first waypoint at the travel-height some blocks (maybe around 100) away from the target-location and then simply goes down in a nice way, so it would replace a normal travel, but tat would only be a workaround, I guess. :)
I'll think over it again.

I do understand that .. and that is why I was thinking that you could make the distance configurable .. this way if the player wanted to have them go strait down they can
If you could make it an option to set per path it might be easer for the server owners .. just not sure how hard that would be to code

I planned to do so in the new version, but there are several problems.
What if the destination is in a valley or behind a house, you would pass through the mountains or the houses.
What if the distance to a destination is less than 100 blocks?
I already tried to figure out how to use a Beziere-curve or something similar, but it isn't that easy and I got stuck, so I decided to work on some other things first and give it a try at the end again.

Posted May 8, 2013I was just wondering if instead of having the dragon fly to the drop off point and then drop strait down to land .. can you make it so when it gets like 100 (maybe configurable) blocks away from the drop off point it heads down at an angle?

Tried v1.8.8.2.3 on #2771 and it worked perfectly, are you sure there is absolutely no message in the console? o.O
Is there any message by DragonTravel ("loading databases" or something similar)?
Please check the "/plugins"-command ingame and tell me if DragonTravel is even loaded (marked as green). :)
My startup-log: http://www.hastebin.com/nukokeyoro.css, the commands work like they should.
Any mistake you see on my side?

I'm using on Spiggot, but as far as Spiggot i likely the same as Craftbukkit... :p
And it seems that other ppl have the same problem even if they use Craftbukkit instead of Spiggot.
As for the specifiq build idk. But i think they are using the Beta build #2771

As long as nobody tells me which version of CB he uses, I can't help you...
I tried the latest BetaBuild (CB 1.5.2-R0.1) and the latest DevBuild (CB 1.5.2-R0.2) and they all work perfectly...
I simply need a specific version-number (like Build #1337), so I can try to find the problem... -.-
Seems to work perfectly with the BetaBuild of 1.5.2-R0.1 and the DevBuild of 1.5.2-R0.2
If you cannot tell me which exact build you use, at least tell me if you are running 1.5.2-R0.1 or 1.5.2-R0.2... :)

It worked for me and I can't reproduce the problem...
Do you encounter any errors in the console?
Is DragonTravel green or red in the "/plugins"-list?
Does the command "/dt travel x" give any response?

Which version do you use? Please always specify the exact version, otherwise I can't help you...
Works for me with v1.5.2-R0.1 and with 1.5.2-R0.2 (DevBuild #2772).
