Dragons Lair
Hey people out there!
Some would people would say "Yet again another RPG plugin?" and apparently I can't deny that but hold on, this one is different. This plugin allows you to do things that you might've ever thought of but weren't able to do. It gives life to a dead city, creating new friendships with a new way of cooperation and generally giving Minecraft that what's missing: a goal. On top of that, everything is fully customizable, so you're able to make your wishes come true in the way you want them to be. No barriers, no borders, nothing that prevents you from doing the things you've ever wanted. Everything is about to come true. Dragons Lair.
What does it provide?
- NPCs you can talk to like they're actually real!
- Dungeon system. - Group together with your friends - Save your progress and recover it on the next player - Everyone can play the same dungeon over and over like it would be their first time
- React on player actions with anything you'd imagine
- Database? Here we go!
- Easy configuration
This is just the general information, there's a lot more to discover ;)
Commands?
There are only two commands available:
/dl config:
- Opens the config for dragons lair. You just type in what you want, no additional command needed.
/dl reload:
- Only needed if you did something in the database to sync it with dragons lair.
And those are all the commands!
Permissions?
There is only one permission, which is used for the config and reload:
dragonslair.config
It gives access to the above commands.

Posted May 20, 2013UPDATE: after much struggle, I got mysql to do my bidding. The next chapter in Poleatar's quest is to get the plugin itself working.
When I do the /dl config or /dragonslair config command nothing happens. When I start the server it does say something along the lines of "is the plugin up to date?".
I hate to be that guy, but please update this plugin. I want it so bad.

Posted May 15, 2013When I try to load the plugin it says "could not connect to SQL database". I'm running a 1.5.2 server, do I just need to wait for an update?

Posted Feb 28, 2013Well... I never thought that it'd take me more than three month to actually be able to do an update for this. I'm really sorry for that. However, the issue of waiting for an update because of minecraft changes hopefully does not appear anymore or at least not that often. To win a war, there have to be victims. Sadly, because of this, you need a different plugin - a library - which is also done by me and might be already on your server. It's called RemoteEntities. This grants developers a lot easier way of working with npcs of any kind (even sheeps can be npcs!). This also enables a lot more functionality which I can add in the future (Yep, you could later talk to a cow as well :D). I'm sorry if this is not an option for you, but that's how it'll get handled.

Correct. Just wait until Kumpel has the time to update it!
On another note; when I was using the plugin before 1.4.6, I had a few things I couldn't figure out. Players items were removed when entering dungeons. And on player death within dungeons they couldn't re-enter.
Anyway to solve these?

Posted Nov 26, 2012Hey again Kumpel.
Been having a few issues. I'm creating a test dungeon. And currently it's not going so well. Safe Words aren't working is my biggest concern. As well as player death causes the spawning outside of the closed dungeon, and therefore players cannot re-enter!
Is there anyway these issues can be resolved by me? If so, how?

Posted Nov 22, 2012This is a brilliant plugin, I love the possibilities! I have been trying so hard in trying to create dynamic quests on our server. I watched your videos thoroughly but it's quite hard to understand. Could you perhaps add in depth explanation of the trigger and event types. That would massively help us.

Posted Nov 22, 2012So I am running bukkit 1.4.5 r.0.2. I see you updated for R01. I didnt think there would be a big difference in these two bukkit servers, but when I install Dragon's Lair, it shows as "red" when I do /plugins and /dl config doesnt work. Just wondering whether you thought you would have to further update it for the new r02. Thanks!
