DisplayName - Nick name
A simple but feature-full nicknames plugin that allows you to set other players' nick names
Commands

Permissions

Commands (Plain text)
/displaynamehelp - Get the up-to-date info on DisplayName
/displayname <displayname> - Set your display name
/resetname [player] - Reset your nickname or optionally, another player's nickname
/displaynameplayer <player> <name> - Set another person's nickname
NOTE: Only names from 1 - 16 characters long. To use colors, use the & symbol to replace the section (§); example: &3, &l, &a, etc.,.,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems getting it to work. Have you tried removing all plugins, then restarting the server after that. Then, you can add plugins one-by-one and see where the problem occurs. Hopefully, this should solve the problem.

When i /displayname myself, my rank disappeared. Its a big problem since I cant get my rank back

Your rank did not disappear. Your name just does not include the rank in it. If you want to get your rank back, try disconnecting and reconnecting. If that does not solve the problem, please reply with what happened so I can help you.

Bukkit should already have this functionality built-in. However, it requires code to enable it. I am going to update this plugin to add this feature, as well as add more support and better commands very soon. Thank you!

Unfortunately, it is not possible to add spaces to the display name due to Bukkit's limited API. I will be updating this plugin with a workaround for this glitch soon.

Thank you for your question. My recommendation is at the bottom of this reply.
For each command you want players to use, add the following permissions to each group that you want to have access to it.
The chart shows what players need to use the commands.
My recommendation:
If you don't already have a permissions plugin, you need to get one. I suggest LuckPerms as your option. It is easy to set up and is very optimized. The guide to this is at this link.
Next, add the permission displayname.use to a group. After you have done that, reload the permissions, and players in the group will be able to use it.

Yes, there is support. All you have to do is use this sheet to know the color codes.
All you have to do is type the color code in the name, but use & instead of §.

Posted Mar 24, 2020I see that you say the nickname resetting has been fixed as of March 13th, but I'm still experiencing that they reset when I restart the server.
Also curious about this changing the names above players' heads. I can see it changes names in the TAB list and in chat.

Posted Mar 13, 2020Has this been undated to fix the nickname resetting, And does it work on 1.15?
I need a good nickname plugin for my server but I want to keep things mostly vanilla So I don't wan't to use EssentialsX or something because they tend to mess with how some commands work, Like the teleport command I think.
Also, does this change the TAB list and the name tags above players heads?
