Announcer
Announcer [v1.7.4]
Announcer is a very simple plugin, which only does what's its name told us. It automatically sends a broadcast out of a list controlled by a schedule.
Features:-
- Sends Scheduled Broadcast to all Players
- Easy to configure by 'config.yml' or ingame with the '/announce' or '/acc' command.
- Supports chat colors and newlines with &n.
- Supports executing commands inside Announcements. (Like "Now it will turn day!&n/time day")

Posted Nov 8, 2012Great plugin. Though I am curious about something. Is there a way to hide the announcements from other groups? I was trying to make my guest group the only group to receive messages. So its the only group that has the permission <- announcer.receiver>. Yet all groups are still getting the announcement :-(. Anyone tell me how to fix this?
<edit>
I just took all permissions out to see what would happen and it still announces to all groups.

Talk to TorBomb. If this plugin works, it will be the final piece to this server. If you start in a crappy spawn you are probs in the old one.

Posted Sep 28, 2012Hi, I use your plugin and it's been working great. However, I have two suggestions:
First suggestion:
Can you add a option in the config to make '/ac list' not display all the text and only show the first few characters? Sometimes it's a lot of text that gets cramped in a small square. Or you can hard-code it, it works for me either way. Example:
Command: /ac list
Displays:
1. Once you become a member you get access to The Nether and The End worlds, as well as the ability to create and use portals.
2. Once you become a VIP you get access to extra commands and extra homes.
Can become:
1. Once you become a member you get acc...
2. Once you become a VIP you get access t...
Second Suggestion:
Broadcast the entire message with: /ac [number] instead of /ac broadcast [number]. Much easier to type out.
Thanks for the great plugin.

Same issue here on two separate servers and it will not configure on a third new instance. Was working just fine prior to update. Have not changed a thing with configs.

I am having the same problem. Everything is shown up correctly in game, but nothing broadcasts, even when I do it manually. However, I have not messed with anything in the configuration recently. Could it be a bug in the newest version?

Posted Sep 2, 2012For some reason none of my broadcasts I have added will actually broadcast. They all show up in /announce list. Even doing /announce broadcast 1 brings up nothing in the chat. I set up the permissions correctly and I'm op and don't even see the announcements.
