cStaff
Tired of new and confused players spamming chat asking for help? cStaff gives your players an easy way to list online staff members, so they know who to ask for assistance.
cStaff is a plugin that provides the ability to see online and available staff, just by typing /staff! Many users on servers need to access staff members, but dont know how. This plugin can help whip your Staff into shape and make sure they are doing their Job!
Are Permissions supported? Yes - all players have access to /staff, but permission nodes are used to determine who shows up in the listings:
cstaff.staff --- Players with this node will show up in the list of staff online cstaff.donor --- Players with this node will show up in the list of donors online
color-scheme: takes an integer, 1-6: 1 = blue, 2 = green, 3 = purple, 4 = red, 5 = gray, 6 = gold
show-on-join: 'true' if joining players should automatically be shown the staff/donor listing
use-displaynames: 'true' if the names of staff and donors in the listing should include prefixes, suffixes, etc.
Op handling configuration nodes:
show-as-staff: true/false (if false, Ops will be treated like normal players and only show up as staff if given the 'cstaff.staff' node)
show-as-donors: true/false (same function as the above node, but for donor listing)

I'll be adding the option to use display names (which include prefixes, suffixes, nicknames, etc.) instead of real names for players in the cStaff listing. Check back in a day or two!

Posted Dec 13, 2012If you guys haven't noticed, this plugin won't be updated anymore. I have the owner on skype and his status is he is "Liquidated" and hasn't been online for months.

Posted Oct 6, 2012Is there a way you could add Prefixs into the Cstaff staff online part? So e.g "Staff online" (2): [Admin] <Player> , [Owner] <Player> "Donor's online": 1: [Emerald] <player> Or something like that. Just so it's easier to check what rank you are.

You know /vanish is in essentials? Wasn't quite sure what you were saying. But from I am aware it is used alot. Some servers even give it away for donation ranks. But of course its up to you to add it :)

At the moment, more servers don't use vanish than do, so we'd like to appeal to the public; we will be doing something like that in the future, where it is configurable if you have the plugin. As for essentials nick + afk, I will be working on that too.

Just compiled and uploaded cStaff v1.6.1, which adds config.yml options for selecting whether ops show up as staff and/or donors by default.

As I mentioned to kyledag500, if you'd like to add a command alias (/list, /who, /showstaff, etc.) for cStaff, it's easiest to use sk89q's CommandHelper and create an alias in the CommandHelper config.txt, such as "/list = /staff" or "/who = /cstaff"
As for the source, everything is open, so have at it! Head over to the GitHub page and fork the repo.
