CrossTalk
CrossTalk v1.1.0
Description
Connect the chat of multiple Bukkit servers together to form a CrossTalk network. Players can then talk with players from other servers as if they were on the same server.
Commands
All commands are accessible through a tree based menu. This limits the number of conflicts that you'll experience as well helping users navigate their available commands. Every command in the CrossTalk plugin starts with /crosstalk or /ctalk.
Check out the Commands section of the wiki for information on the commands available in CrossTalk.
Permissions
Each command in CrossTalk plugin is controlled by a permission meaning you can control exactly what each user can do.
Check out the Permissions section of the wiki for more help on all the permissions used by CrossTalk.
Configuration
Through the CrossTalk plugins config.yml you can setup and fine tune the way CrossTalk will work on your server. When you first run CrossTalk a config.yml file will be created that you can modify, reloading the server or the plugin will load the new configuration.
For detailed Configuration help check out the Configuration section of the wiki.

Just tested it with SimpleChatChannels and the result is that private messages within a sub-channel would not be detected by CrossTalk. Chat will be hidden within its own channel on the server and not sent to another server connected via this plugin. It will only detect global chat.

Posted Feb 14, 2013A few thinks i need to know, before i wanna test this plugin.
1, Does this plugin work with other chat plugins? We got more channels. http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/simplechatchannels/ 2, Can this plugin take over the things that essentials chat does? I prefer a plugin that does both then 2 separate plugins. 3, Does this plugin work permissions plugins? Like permissionsEX. 4, Does this plugin also work with tekkit and feed the beast?
Kind regards,
Dutch_Boy.

Of course! We're going to make a video to show how to set it up very soon. In the mean time I'll add something to the wiki to help you out.

Have you tried, as a player, doing /crosstalk to join the crosstalk? Only joined players will see the messages, so people can opt out of it. You can set crossTalkOnJoin to true in the config file to add players automatically when they connect to your server.

Posted Feb 13, 2013Great plug in idea!
I have everything installed correct and it shows both are connected. Even /crosstalk stats shows that messages are being sent and. Sadly I can not see them.

If you mean formatting like essentials chat then yes. The message will appear on the remote server exactly as it appeared on the local server. Names and name colors can also be enabled in the configuration.

Effectively yes. So long as you have two servers using the plugin and supplying the correct connection information between them, players from one server will be able to talk to players on another server.
A full explanation of how it works will be coming soon.

Hi there! We're just running through some last tests between a few private servers to make sure they're happy before we release this publicly. We shall be releasing this very soon. I wouldn't recommend generally building plugins from GitHub resources as they do not always match the same files that you'll find here.
