What is CreativeGates?
CreativeGates is a plugin that allows you to create teleportation gates without running a single command. The plugin does not impose design restrictions. Design the gate frame any way you like.
- Build a gate frame using any materials. It must however contain two emerald blocks (configurable).
- Name a clock with an anvil.
- Hit the inside of the frame with the clock
- Gates using the same clock name will connect to each other.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put CreativeGates.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- For advanced users only: Configure the MassiveCore aspects and multiverses using the commands.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_mconf/instance.json to your liking.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_conf@universe/instance.json to your liking.
- Configure permissions. CreativeGates only has two nodes.
Portal vs Water
CreativeGates can use either portal blocks or water blocks for portal content. You decide which to use in the "uconf".
For portal blocks to work without bugs you must open your server.properties and set allow-nether=false. This will disable the generation of the vanilla nether map and the vanilla nether portals. This is how we do it on MassiveCraft. You can add one, two or even three custom nether worlds using a world manager plugin later on.
For water blocks to work you don't need to do anything special. If you want the vanilla nether world and portals you probably want to change to water portals in the config. Otherwise players entering nether gates in the nether might exit through creative gates.

Posted Feb 8, 2014Hi! Can you make it so that Nether Portals face around the frame? They decide to have the flat side facing East/West, and the 2-pixel-wide part is showing. Can you fix?
Thanks, SK421

Posted Feb 2, 2014For all of you (like me) who would like to use water for your portals and can't find the "uconf" file here is a tutorial on how to find it!
First open your start menu, then type: "mstore" without the quotes. Look for file that just says "mstore". Open "mstore" and look for the file "creativegates_uconf@default". Open that one and look for the text document "instance". Open "instance" and look for "usingWater": false, and change it to "usingWater": true, save the file and your done!!!
Hope this helps.
NOTE: If you have made any portals you may have to remake them.

Posted Feb 1, 2014Can you make simplified version of this portal plugin, that will not use some extra stuff like mcore? And possibly drop this clock naming business too.
Old plugin is missing ability to recognize damage values of blocks, like red wool vs black wool. Having it recognize them, using no extra plugins, no clock naming business would make a strong and steady plugin.

Posted Jan 28, 2014This plugin work awesome, but == i foud a RELLAY BAD BUG == Sometimes when I enter the portal I create a new portal to nether, and really bothered by this. The only way I've found to fix this bug is to disable the nether on my server. (I used google translator Italian> English)

Posted Jan 28, 2014I added this plugin to my Hexxit server today. The plugin works as expected, I can teleport via linked portals with the addition of to-nether bug. It runs the 1.5.2 jar. After toying with files and options for hours, and even reinstalling the plugins (mcore as well) into not only my rented server, but on my computer/local server, this plugin has in conjunction with mcore failed to produce necessary configuration and settings files. I wanted to change the portals to water rather than the default nether type, and all of the "answers" point towards going to the mstore directory and finding /mstore/creativegates_uconf@universe/instance.json. No matter how many times I've redone all the steps neither this file/directory, nor the _mconf ever generated. I'm upset with the lack of support/answers there are from the developers on this since it seems I'm not the only one who has had this problem.

Posted Jan 19, 2014Hello! I really love this plugin, but there's one feature that is really needed:
Horizontal portals
Those would be awesome. I am currently in the process of developing a server and I just need those horizontal portals. If anyone would recommend me a plugin that has those I't be good too. But I want to use the best portal plugin so I am asking for this feature!
