What is CreativeGates?
CreativeGates is a plugin that allows you to create teleportation gates without running a single command. The plugin does not impose design restrictions. Design the gate frame any way you like.
- Build a gate frame using any materials. It must however contain two emerald blocks (configurable).
- Name a clock with an anvil.
- Hit the inside of the frame with the clock
- Gates using the same clock name will connect to each other.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put CreativeGates.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- For advanced users only: Configure the MassiveCore aspects and multiverses using the commands.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_mconf/instance.json to your liking.
- Modify /mstore/creativegates_conf@universe/instance.json to your liking.
- Configure permissions. CreativeGates only has two nodes.
Portal vs Water
CreativeGates can use either portal blocks or water blocks for portal content. You decide which to use in the "uconf".
For portal blocks to work without bugs you must open your server.properties and set allow-nether=false. This will disable the generation of the vanilla nether map and the vanilla nether portals. This is how we do it on MassiveCraft. You can add one, two or even three custom nether worlds using a world manager plugin later on.
For water blocks to work you don't need to do anything special. If you want the vanilla nether world and portals you probably want to change to water portals in the config. Otherwise players entering nether gates in the nether might exit through creative gates.

Posted Jul 13, 2013I'm having an issue when using the portals in Creative mode. Instead of taking me to the next portal in the network, they drop me in the Nether with a new Nether portal created. This is a problem for us, as the whole server is Creative.
I'm using CreativeGates 2.0.0 with MCore 6.4.0, as MCore 6.5.0 is not yet available.

Posted Jul 8, 2013I have to say I love the change. Everyone that has complaining seems to do so about the problem with creative mode, I don't run a creative server so it's been working great for me. I had to ditch this originally because of the water issues so this is a welcome change for me, and many others that just haven't been as vocal as those that need help. If you do revert back can you make it configurable so those that have this issue can feel better and the rest of us that like the change can stay the new course?

Posted Jul 8, 2013This plugin is shit. It used to work, for maybe a few days. We haven't updated ANYTHING, and all of the sudden, it'll only take people to the nether and back. Yes, normal players and myself, yes all players have the creativegates.use permission.
Dev, you need to work on this. This isn't what people want. This entire list is full of people complaining because you can't make plugins. Just revert to water, or maybe use endspace. But nether portals obviously aren't working.
