How do I use CrackShot weapons with other plugins? (kits, arenas, shops, classes etc.)

For those who are curious about what CrackShot is capable of achieving, but squealed like a little girl upon viewing the complete list of modules, you're in luck. The plugin comes with 18 default weapons, so you can jump right into the action! ... a very small taste of the action.

Known issues
Minecraft visual bug: Projectiles that are launched at high velocities (>40) may follow a warped flight path. Generally, they will appear to either curve to the left or to the right. Do not be fooled though, as the projectiles will always be spot-on despite what you see!
Minecraft 1.9 bug: Players may hurt themselves if they shoot at an entity that is too close to them. Affects servers between 1.9 and 1.16.
Spigot 1.15 bug: Entities cannot be hit by multiple projectiles at the same time. Affects servers between 1.15 and 1.16.4.

Posted Sep 16, 2013Hey, I was wondering if you could make a node in the Burstfire module that allows you to have a special sound which replaces all others, for something like a flamethrower. When you fire, it shoots like 100 fire charges repeatedly, but they will spam the flamethrower sound. Same for minigun... I would really appreciate this!

About the option Skip_Name_Check:
I think that in the config you should be able to specify worlds where this does not work. Because it is a very useful function but it would be nice if in some places it worked and in others it didn't

Sorry that it took me that long to reply... had much work to do :)
You have to put the names from the crackshot-config in the classes file. For example the plugin won't recognise "§eAK-47§e ? «30»" - you have to put "&eAK-74" or "§eAK-74" depending on how your classes plugin reads color codes.
Anyways, if the guns still dont work after you change this, i would suggest you to remove the Crackshot folder - but make sure to backup your own custom weapons that are NOT modified default weapons - and install a kit plugin for classes (such as KingKits).

EDIT: I just found out that you must not rename the items - just leave the name the default one and it'll work!

Posted Sep 11, 2013Got it to work. Thanks guys. One more question. What is the permission for the carbine grenade launcher. When I add crackshot.use.carbine it allows me to shoot the carbine, but when I switch to grenade launcher I can't switch it back or fire. Thanks

Okay basically you are going to only give permissions to use each gun in your group by doing - crackshot.use.<gun name>
but first you have to put - -crackshot.use.all in your default group to negate it
or in pex I think it may be crackshot.use.all: false
I cant remember I dont really use pex
but in a nutshell negate 'crackshot.use'.all in your default group and give permission per gun. hope that helps

Must be an issue with PEX. I'm not having any trouble negating perms with bPermissions, so you could for example switch to that or wait for PEX to fix that issue (though I don't think they are going to fix it).
