IMPORTANT INFORMATION (25. June 2012)
This project has now been taken over by iKeirNez, who will continue work on CommandsEX in the same fashion I did - and even better! It was a pleasure to create this tiny little thingy for you guys. Have some great Minecraft days in there and see you all in another life :) zathrus_writer
Build your very own plugin set - Lego style!
If you ever needed a single function but had to download a massive plugin that contained it, you will probably know the feeling. It could be hard to pick up the right plugin-set for a server with all the plugins currently in existence. Especially since many of them conflict with each other.
That is the idea behind CommandsEX project - to allow server administrators to choose which commands and functions they really need and let them trash all the rest.
More information
- Official Wiki
- CommandsEX Builder - create your very own CommandsEX build!
- CommandsEX Test Server - play about with the latest features not yet available to download!
Configuration
CommandsEX uses standard config.yml file, located in CommandsEX folder in your plugins directory. Options in the configuration file are clearly commented and their list is also present in the Configuration section of the plugin Wiki.
Additionally, CommandsEX allows anybody with the permission to access the /cex command. Some options from the config file are retrievable and can also be updated via this command.

The .db file is generated automatically along with the data folder. Please enable debug mode and send us the errors.
@eubie67
Yeah thats a bug, we are adding a new updater in the next version that should fix this issue.

Ok - got warp to work. It was another permissions (CHMOD) issue.

Posted Sep 21, 2012I installed v 1.9 earlier today and have been having trouble.
1. It started with warp not working. I got an error in game, "We are sorry but due to some technical issues, warping cannot be used at the moment."
2. So then I tried for a clean install. I removed CommandsEX.jar, and the CommandsEX subdirectory within the plugins directory. Restarted the server. Grabbed the 1.9 zip file, unzipped it. Restarted the server.
3. Warp still doesn't work. So I do a reload and see that there is a permissions error, and CEX can't write to the config.yml, so I open up the permissions and restart everything again. Now the error is gone.
4. Warp still doesn't work. All of the other functions I've tested do work, such as spawn commands, tp commands, mob commands, weather commands...
5. I checked the CEX subdirectory within plugins, and it looks like there are files missing. Here's what I have now:
It seems like there used to be .db files and a data subdirectory, etc.
So I'm not sure what I did wrong. Seems like I must have skipped a step or some other stupid error, but I've hit the wall and can't even figure out what to try next.
Thanks, eubie

Was the promoteSet functionality supposed to make it into 1.9, or is it the next one? I did not see it in the config.yml for 1.9, so I added it just to test and it did not work. That leads me to believe it's slated for the next version, but I wanted to double check.
EDIT<< NVM - I went back and looked at the commit, and it says 1.95. Any guess as to a timeline for the next update?
Thanks!

In the most recent update (1.90) we added support for VanishNoPacket, if VanishNoPacket is detected then CommandsEX will use its function for going invisible. If VanishNoPacket is not found then CommandsEX uses the Bukkit Visibility API and as far as I am aware CommandsEX has always used the Bukkit Visibility API.

Could you please enable debugMode in config.yml and then repost the errors. This will give us more information to work with.

Thanks! I appreciate your work, and your responsiveness. I know it is hard to keep up with a plugin of this size with so many users.
