IMPORTANT INFORMATION (25. June 2012)
This project has now been taken over by iKeirNez, who will continue work on CommandsEX in the same fashion I did - and even better! It was a pleasure to create this tiny little thingy for you guys. Have some great Minecraft days in there and see you all in another life :) zathrus_writer
Build your very own plugin set - Lego style!
If you ever needed a single function but had to download a massive plugin that contained it, you will probably know the feeling. It could be hard to pick up the right plugin-set for a server with all the plugins currently in existence. Especially since many of them conflict with each other.
That is the idea behind CommandsEX project - to allow server administrators to choose which commands and functions they really need and let them trash all the rest.

- CommandsEX Builder - create your very own CommandsEX build!
- CommandsEX Test Server - play about with the latest features not yet available to download!
Configuration
CommandsEX uses standard config.yml file, located in CommandsEX folder in your plugins directory. Options in the configuration file are clearly commented and their list is also present in the Configuration section of the plugin Wiki.
Additionally, CommandsEX allows anybody with the permission to access the /cex command. Some options from the config file are retrievable and can also be updated via this command.

That is very odd, could you upload the JAR file to somewhere like Dropbox or Mediafire and PM me the link? That would be much appreciated so that we can figure out this problem and prevent it from happening in the future.

Posted Sep 6, 2012Same problem as MrBogusss, CommandsEx claims that it's version 1.85b. Info comes straight from the console's boot log as well as the /cex command. It's clearly 1.90b though, because it has all the new commands.

What command did you use to get the version? Also are you sure you shutdown the server, deleted the old CommandsEX.jar and then copied the new CommandsEX.jar in?

No offence to him but I doubt he could even do that, he couldn't even follow basic instructions and anyway all code is manually checked by the BukkitDev staff so there is no chance of that happening.

If that guy gets onto Essentials, I shall never download essentials again, as he might add some backdoors!

Posted Sep 3, 2012Hello.
We'd like to remind everyone that every file uploaded to BukkitDev is reviewed by the BukkitDev staff line-by-line, and that any users who implement 'backdoors' or have other malicious intent are immediately banned from this website.
CommandsEx is no exception to that rule, and you can rest assured that there is no malicious code present in this plugin. If you would like proof of this, you may download and decompile the jar files with software freely available to you, or you may view the source on github.
Because of some recent attempts of spamming this plugin to get people to uninstall it, we have decompiled and done another thorough review of the files in question, as well as run them through automated systems that we use to detect backdoors. There has been no such instance of malicious code in this project, and it is clean for you to download and use.
Any users spamming and trying to convince people that a plugin has a backdoor will be banned.
Thank you.

Posted Sep 3, 2012All users (Callum White) please stop ranting on this page, this is for polite comments only, and if you do have a rant, please post it in the issues section. If any more new accounts are created to post on this page, staff will be alerted, and the IP will be tested. If the IP is the same for these accounts, the IP will probably be banned.

Posted Sep 3, 2012We have some very unfortunate news, we had to remove one of our developers from developing CommandsEX. I wanted to get my side of the story out there before the former developer comes here complaining.
His name is Callum White and I enjoyed having him in the team, we did some work on CommandsEX together and he had some great ideas. But after checking his code I noticed that he wasn't doing things the way I had asked him to. He was directly sending messages to the player instead of using language variables and numerous other things.
I was fine with this and simply asked him on a few occasions to do it another way. After realizing that he was not going to listen to me I had a calm conversation with him on Skype. I would say I was calm in the conversation and I even said to him that he was welcome back into the group if he was prepared to do things properly.
He then went on and on about how many bugs CommandsEX has and said there were memory leaks too which I don't believe to be true as I have run numerous tests with all features of CommandsEX enabled with about 30 players online.
He is now saying that he is in contact with the head developer of Essentials and that they are thinking of letting him develop Essentials. I was the one who blocked him on Skype because I knew that there would be issues and did not want it to escalate any further.
Thanks for reading this big rant if you have managed to read it all the way through, I wrote this because I wanted everyone to know the truth about what happened.
Keir

Sorry about that, it seems the mute command and permission information was moved to the chat related wiki page, you can find it here: https://sourceforge.net/p/commandsex/wiki/Chat%20Related/

If you use any other blocks except from armor on the chestplate, leggings or boots they do not show. The block will only show if it is on their head and that feature has already been added. Simply hold the block you want to put on your head and type /hat
