Posted Nov 22, 2012Is there any way to add a global cooldown timer per use? I used command signs to hax together a functioning walls arena, but if P1 used the sign and starts the match, another player can restart the match and it can cause... issues.

Are we talking about 1.8.5 or 1.8.4? I attempted to fix that issue in 1.8.5. It's entirely a chat issue rather than something that affects your signs, but it still needs fixing nonetheless. Make a ticket if you are on 1.8.5.

All changes are documented with the version releases with the exception of 1.8.5 which was barred from Bukkit for downloading updates from an external server.
I must reprogram the updater before 1.8.5 is released on here.
It seems your signs.yml file has been wiped. But honestly, I cannot begin to understand why without some sort of server log. It just isn't in protocol for it to do that. The last of the saving issues was fixed in 1.7.9.

Posted Nov 22, 2012i downloaded and installed the update and when i did this, my signs completely messed up... meaning:
when i do /cmds edit and click a sign that i created that is suppose to cost money, it doesnt show the actual cmds commands in chat. When i want to create a sign that cost's money, and i put "/cmds line1 $5" i get a "internal error occured while trying to run this command" or something to that effect.
i downgraded my commandsigns and now everything works fine.
Just letting you know.

Posted Nov 21, 2012If there are ever any changes with new versions that users should know about, please, for goodness sake, add it to the overview page.
I am guessing a problem I am having is due to some undocumented change.
All my signs stopped working. I filed a report and was asked to post the signs.yml file. There is is no signs.yml file. Only a signs.dat file.
What is going on?

Signs get removed if the sign is in a block of air or is in a world that doesn't exist (this avoids having surrogate signs that no longer exist in your configuration).
Check that you're loading up all the worlds properly.

Oh, this is a REALLY old file! You're going to need to use Regular Expressions to convert this. I would do it, but I haven't the time xD Sorry dude

Posted Nov 18, 2012I have to periodically replace the signs.yml file with a backup because it has the tendency to purge half the signs that were established. They just disappear from the signs.yml file like they were never set up. This problem makes the plugin extremely unreliable and almost impossible to work with.
I have multiple signs set up in multiple worlds. Would that be the cause?

It doesn't get converted to signs.yml but "signs.bak".
This is the file: http://pastebin.com/447xJ9jF
Used CommandSigns v1.8.4 for CB 1.4.2-R0.1
Thanks. I like your work in the new CommandSigns!

You can add the following to a sign in order to make it left or right click:
Left click: 1. << 2. \This is a left click only sign! 3. -
Right click 1. >> 2. /say All the right-clickers say yeah! 3. -
Sorry, I haven't added this to the user manual. I'll do it when it's not 1:30am.

There is the <near> variable, but that only gets the nearest player. I think it'd be difficult to make a variable for multiple users - what would it get replaced with?!

Posted Nov 16, 2012Hi, I am loving the plugin so far! I was just wondering if there is a variable to add closeness to the player who activates the commandsign (or the commandsign itself) that will force all players to run a command that are in the defined area. Ex: all players within 20 blocks will run the command /me says hi
I didn't see anything like this looking around, but if it exists, great!
