How it works:
- Install Vault
- Install the Plugin. (Drop the coloredtablist.jar file into your /plugins folder)
- Choose a Permissions Node named by the color.
Example: 'coloredtablist.blue' stands for blue :)
OR set 'UserPermissions' to false in the config and choose a color-code !scroll down! - Give a User (or a Group) the specifc Permissions Node.
OR give a Group the specific Color Code in the Config
Now when the User joins he automatically gets colored in the Playerlist (press Tab).
Commands:
You can use /ctl instead of /coloredtablist
- /coloredtablist help = Shows a help Page with available Commands.
- /coloredtablist reload = Reloads Config and Playerlist
- /coloredtablist colors = View List of Color-Codes.
- /coloredtablist nick <nickname> = Changes your Name in the Tablist until you reconnect or the Server reloads.
Config Commands:
- /coloredtablist set usepermissions <true/false>
- /coloredtablist set usechatnames <true/false>
- /coloredtablist set prefix<1> <colors>
- /coloredtablist set groups <group> <prefix/suffix> <value>
Configuration:

Known Bugs:
- Max 14 Characters are shown in the Tablist, longer Names are shortened to 14 (Otherwise it would show an Error because 16 Characters is max. (and we are using Colors so its 16 -2 = 14 O.o)

I was having the same problem. Adding this in my permissions file seems to have fixed it:
- coloredtablist.red
- coloredtablist.italic
- coloredtablist.cmd
- -coloredtablist.*
You have to add your color(s) as the first permission, like this:
- coloredtablist.color
Then, after that, add:
- -coloredtablist.*
If you've got a "*" node, it gives you all of the coloredtablist colors. Doing what I did gives you one color, and takes away the rest. Just add what coloredtablist permissions you *DO* want before the permission that takes the rest away (- -coloredtablist.*)

Posted Mar 10, 2013When trying to use Nicknames and setting it to true, it also includes the players rank, and so when you hit tab, basically all you see are the ranks followed by the name. you can't really tell the player names because the tablist doesnt allow for really long names. Can you add a feature so we can use nicknames, and the ranks of the players don't show up as well?

Posted Feb 20, 2013Hey, i was wondering if anybody knew an answer to my problems:
I'm using bPermissions as my permissions plugin.
When i login to my server, my tablist says: [Owner] Yellow in the tablist (Owner in red text) And when i write something in the chat, Coloredtablist kicks in and changes my whole name to Dark_red and takes away the [Owner]. And this is what i want it to be like the whole time. Don't want to be needed to write something to update the tablist.
