ChunkOwn
Version 1.0.4
NOTE: This plugin requires you have Vault enabled on your server
This is a very simple way to handle griefers. It allows Player's to buy specific Chunks in the World so only they (and admins) can build there. Admins can limit how many Chunks each player can own, and Players can add Co-owners to allow them building rights.
Features:
- Supports all major Economies and Permission Plugins thanks to Vault
- You can change what command this plugin uses by editing the plugin.yml (found inside the plugin jar file)
- MultiWorld support
- Configurable properties
- Custom messages
- Players can buy unowned land, no need for Admins to run around protecting houses for Players
- Limit the amount of Chunks Players can own
- Custom buy/sell prices
- Customize how deep Players own land (defaulted near sea level)
- Option to automatically place a specific type of block along the edge of the Player's Chunk (to outline)
- Option to delete a Players owned Chunks and revert the Chunk back if they do not log in for a specified amount of days.
- Players can purchase Add-ons for their property such as chest locking, and auto healing
- Players can be notified when they enter someone else's owned land
- Players can be notified when another Player enters their owned land (with TextPlayer support)
- Players can preview land before they buy it
- Players can be forced to group their land together
- Optional increased cost for each additional Chunk
- Simple commands
- Blocks many griefing events
- Allows Co-owners who will also have build rights
- Co-owners can be a specific Player or a specific Permissions Group

Posted Feb 1, 2013Thanks for the update! I tought of something that would be great for the plugin.
It would be awesome to add a name to the /chunk clear command so when an admin (with the permission) would type /chunk clear (ANAME) it would sell all of the player's chunks.

Most messages can be changed in the config file, any that aren't are hard coded so it is not easy to provide various translations.
@leongrdic
No I am still unsure wut is causing the issue.

I was hoping to wait till I figured out a way to do the limits but I guess I can add the co-owner list and update within the next few hours.

Yup an in-game list would be epic!
Thanks for your answer! Do you have an ETA for the next update, the help page spam can get a bit annoying :P

I have thought of this but there isn't really a good way to hook into a permissions plugin because everyone uses different plugins. Yes, there is Vault but groups are too different between PEX and other plugins that It nvr seems to work correctly, especially once you add multiworld groups.
This was a bug, thank you for bringing it to my attention. I have fixed it and it will be in the next update.,
Do you mean a in-game list for you to view?
I have to look into this, not sure if it is something I add to my plugin or somthing that dynmap would have to add or both.
Thank you, I appreciate your support.
@leongrdic
PlotMe requires claiming in every world or ChunkOwn requires claiming in every world?
@IceFrog1
In the config.properties file that is generated you will see the option
Change -1 to the Block ID that you wish to be placed along the edges.

Why don't you set the limit in the config file instead? You hook into the permissions plugin and make something like :
It would leave only 1 permission like : chunkown.limit.bypasslimit
PS. It is possible to disable the help message each time someone add someone else in their co-owner list? I use the command "/p" and it gives me the confirmation message PLUS the help.
PS#2. Can you make a list of co-owners and which chunks they co-own. It would say something like this :
That way it would be easier to manage the co-owners list.
PS#3. A hook into dynmap's livemap to show owned chunks and by who would be great
Keep up with the awesome work! I'll prolly donate soon, I just switched my whole server to your awesome plugin!

did you set it to only use specific worlds in the config file?
@DjBuRnOuTQc
there is an issue with doing this. If I allow a limit of 1000, then when a chunk is claimed the plugin must check the player for the following permissions:
Do you see how it could cause problems? I cannot think of a better way to do this.
If anyone has any ideas then please let me know. NOTE: it requires no programming knowledge to help me out here. I just need to know how admins could set limit amounts.
@IceFrog1
This is an updated version, I forgot to change the text above. It know uses an animation (smoke effect) if you do not see them then you might have particles turned off in your Minecraft settings. You may turn block placement back on in the config file for the plugin

First of all, great plugin! I wanted to know if it would be possible to sets the limit to whatever we want instead of just 1 to 100 chunks.
Thanks!
