How to use ChestKeeper

Using ChestKeeper is very simple!

Installation

To install the plugin, simply put the latest version of Vault (you can find it here) and the latest version of ChestKeeper (here) in the plugins directory of your server.

Configuration

To configure ChestKeeper, simply edit the config.yml file, that you can find in the plugins/ChestKeeper/ directory after starting CraftBukkit with ChestKeeper installed at least once.

If you prefer, you can make the directory manually, but if you are using Linux, remember to use capital letters when writing ChestKeeper!

You can find the default commented config.yml file here (sorry, broken. I will reupload the file with the new update).

The one that is automatically generated from the plugin does NOT contain comments. They are often very helpful to better understand and configure the plugin.

You can edit these parameters to your liking, but remember not to go over 6 when setting max-rows. Anyway, the plugin will correct the configuration automatically if you commit logic (not syntax!) errors.

How to use (in-game)

This section explains how to set up the signs.

The important lines on the signs are the 1st one and the 3rd one, you can write whatever you want on the 2nd and the 4th line.

The 1st line will always be [ChestKeeper]

The 3rd line can be BUY, UPGRADE or OPEN, or a chest number.

In this screenshot there's a basic setup, with one chest (and the old name!).

Now, a player would simply have to right-click on the BUY sign, and then on the Chest 1 sign.

To open a chest, a player can simply right-click on a Chest sign, the OPEN sign is needed only if a player clicks on a BUY or an UPGRADE sign and then decides to open a chest instead of buying/upgrading one.

There's also a video, but when I recorded it I was using one of the first development versions of the plugin.

Now the plugin gives output to players when they click on ChestKeeper signs, and the potions bug is fixed.

Also, in that version prices and initial slots were not customizable; now they are.

If anyone wants to make a video with the new version of the plugin and maybe with live commentary, I will replace this one with yours.
