ChatLimiter
This plugin was created when a server that im dev on got attacked by spambots. It is made to block all aspects of spam bots from making sure they move before talking, limiting the rate at which they can rejoin, limit the rate of chat, limit the rate of commands (cant spam /afk etc.) block duplicate messages etc. It it a all in one, lightweight (6kb!) simple to use easy solution to blocking spambots and spamming players.

Setup
- Drop the plugin in your plugin folder, and your done. You can configure the settings as you like, but the default should work fine.
Permissions
chatlimiter.ignore - lets players bypass all blocks

None, it is all self managed

Posted Jun 13, 2013Can there please be a option to have a custom delay for messages and commands. I use an alias system and It conflicts with ChatLimiter because it reads it as the player sending two commands practically instantly. I want the custom delays so I can set the delay for commands to 0 and my messages to 3. Thank you!

Posted Feb 1, 2013Yes, adding a feature so we can customise the messages would be great! For example, I have the chat limiter set to lower ranked members but not higher ranked members. I would like a message saying something like "...Designers and above can bypass this!"

My bad. I tested it on private server when only I was online, i spammed and it didn't do anything. It seems that this is enabled when 2 or more players are online. Will try to change that number to 0 in config and see what happens.
