CharInfo
== CHARINFO: ==
Perms:
- charinfo.cmd - Access to /ci or /charinfo
- charinfo.cmd.set - Allows them to change their information
- charinfo.cmd.info - Lets them see a player's info
- charinfo.cmd.unlock - Allows a player to unlock a player's info
- charinfo.cmd.* - All perms
Commands:
- /ci, /ci help - All display the commands for the plugin for the set and info, unlock are hidden
- /ci set [tag] [info] - Sets the tag for the player
- /ci info [player] - Shows the info on a player
- /ci unlock [player] [tag] - Unlock a tag for a player
Tags:
- Nick/Name - the name that others will see, changeable, affects the list and speech, placed at the end to show it is a nickname
- Age - Simply put, their age
- Race - The player's race, allowed races set up in the races.yml file
- Desc - A short description
Files:
For plugin functionality, each file is editable using Notepad+ + or an appropriate software. The races.yml is the only file that should be edited, where you can list the races that you want. Caps will matter, and the plugin will auto-correct caps when players select a race.
The default races.yml is as shown:
- Human
- Elf
- Dwarf
Each player file is also configurable IF NEEDED, I do not recommend editing them though. They are set up as followed:
- name:
- nick:
- race:
- age: 0
- desc:
Please do not mess with those files, as things might happen.
Install: Stop the server, place the CharInfo.jar into the plugins folder, then start the server, then stop it again. Navigate to the /plugins/CharInfo/races.yml and change the races to your liking. Save, then start the server.
Notices: Due to the nature of the plugin, we ask that you do NOT use the /reload command with it, as players already in the game may lose their nicknames, however, a relog should fix that (not confirmed)

That first part I might be able to incorporate, but not with the new write-up for now since I want to get a much cleaner and working system made, then start adding to it. Cause i dropped this plugin a while ago, I have not really worked on it, and just released an updated version that has no changes from the last one.
The .set will let that player set their own permission. Atm, a player can only set their own values, and admins can unlock the ability to change them
I could look into adding prefixes, although the issue is working with any existing chat formatter.

Posted Jul 15, 2012Whats the chances i could get you to add a few things for me?
Basically i want exactly what you have made, but i want it so that players can not change the info themselfs, i want it so that only a few players can change it...
if i make the .set permission node to those few players, and nobody else, does that mean those few can change the info of any player on the server, or only there own?
An not having it means the mass of people can not change it right?...
Id also like it if once in that race, it added a prefix to there name?
Is this anything you could do?
Thank you for your time, if you can, my skype name is craig_b3. Ill forget to check this... lol

Posted Jul 14, 2012There, updated the plugin to the latest RB. There are no changes from the 1.0.1 to this version. All it was is just updated code so it runs on the latest RB

Posted Jul 9, 2012Hey, it is kind of a bummer that you are not updating this. I cannot find a plugin even closely related to this, and it is a big let down. I would use the hell out of this plugin, but apparently I can't because you haven't updated since Jan. 19. Come on dude.

I can get the /ci info one added, that is no issue.
As for the tp thing, I will have to see how to get that one working
@Dustin_
I will have to check the source code on that and see what is happening
@Dustin_
Updating now, had to get the code for this

Posted Feb 21, 2012I love this plugin. It's a real life saver!
All is working 100% here 1.1 survival mc server.
All I suggest is maybe make it so when you type /ci info [players changed name] it still displays info (If its possible) this will eliminate having to ask the player what their old name was as an admin and can also prevent security risks.
(perhaps add /tp to changed names ability as well? Just a thought)
Any how great plugin! I look forward to its development.

Posted Feb 11, 2012What a great plugin! Unfortunately I am having some issues where I edit the races.yml file to the racial names of my choice but it is only configuring to the default Human, Elf, or Dwarf. Also, even with the permission nodes given to my administrator group, I can not use the plugin commands after using them once and get "Cannot change x" errors. Any help regarding this?
