What is Chairz?
GUYS! DON'T USE MY PLUGIN ANYMORE!
After the update for the shift click to get out of vehicles - the plugin broke. I do not plan to fix or update this anymore. Sorry to those who's server has broken, but if you did read the release version, you would have noticed it was for Bukkit 1.5.1.. Which was just over a year ago.
Chairz allows players to use a stair block as a seat, with a customizable item to get in.
Features!
- Chairz can allow players to use any stair block as a chair!
- Chairz has a configurable selection item!
- Setting the ID in the config to "0" will make it Air, meaning just the hand is used.
Future Features!
For future features, I hope to inclue:
- Stopping more then one player getting in the chair.
- Despawning of the arrow entity after a few minutes.
- Stopping a chair being accessible, upside-down.
In-Game!
In-Game, if the player right clicks a stair block with the chosen item (by default it is an Iron Axe (258). This can be changed in the config by using DataValues/IDs!) they will be notified. They will receive this message:
Quote:You get in a chair!
To get out of the chair, the player will right click any block around them, including the ground. They will receive this message:
Quote:You get out the chair!

Frequently Asked Questions:
- After a while, I keep falling out the chair. Why?
- This is due to the Entity (the arrow in the chair) despawning. I am working on a fix.
- Sometimes I get kicked off the server. It says "Nope". Why does this happen?
- This can sometimes happen when you click the chair twice. You only need to click it once. This will be fixed too, in a later release.
- How do I make it so that I just need to use my hand to use the chair?
- Simply make the ID in the Config "0". This will act as Air. Which is what you have when your hand is empty.
- Why can other players destroy the chair I am sitting in?
- Again, it is a simple bug. It will be fixed.

lol.. did you even check to see if the version it says its compatible with is the version of bukkit you have? YOURE USING 1.4.7...

Thats not a bug. If you actually read the future features sections, it clearly says that a future feature will be to stop the arrow despawning.
If you didnt know, there is an arrow in the chair. that is what youre really sitting on. Because your vehicle needs to be an entity. Stair blocks arent entities. That is why you fall through. Because the arrow naturally despawns.
Im working on a fix to stop it. Thats the last time i will comment about the arrow. Lol.

I was more on the line of thinking that sandstone that is placed in the world would burn. Like if i built a house out of sandstone i can make the sandstone houses burn down like a wood one.

If you use recipemanager (there's a ported 1.4.6 version in comments) then you can set crafting and smelting recipes. This includes sandstone.

It does happen, in console it says [Severe] (Playername) was cought trying to crash the server with an invalid position.

I guess that is what makes it unique, if you look read up ahead. it says that it is configurable - you can change the iron axe. :)

The arrows the least of my problems, but still one... lol
But the iron axe thing is quite annoying, theres many other chairs plugins that use shift+click and i like that a lot so really that would u could do that.

Thanks for the suggestions :)
Firstly, if i change the way the player gets in, sadly i have to rewrite the entire code :S
Secondly, if i move the arrow, the player moves too. the arrow acts as a vehicle. becuase its an entity.
But, ill see what i can do :)

Posted Jan 2, 2013Yeah ive been looking at alot of chairs plugins, this one just needs a couple of small tweaks to make it the best. I love the fact that you have to click somewhere else to get out of the chair. in other plugins you just move and u get out, i dont like that.
Tweaks:
1. Make it shift+click with any object to get in the chair instead of of just a click with iron axe, (i dont like the iron axe thing)
2. Get rid of the visible arrow
Fix those and this plugin awesome. Thanks.
