This is a reload of the original Chairs mod by Spoothie. That plugin was no longer being updated so I have continued it here.
This plugin allows players to sit in chairs (stairs).
Installation
- Drop the Chairs jar file in your plugins directory.
- Setup permissions accordingly.

Commands & Permissions
chairs.reload
- /chairs reload - Reload the Chairs configuration file.
chairs.sit
- Sit down on chairs.
chairs.sit.health
- If the health sitting effects are enabled then players with this permission node are healed while siting.

Posted Dec 6, 2013Works fine except for the new blocks (acacia stairs, dark oak) the sitting height for these is wrong it uses the "other blocks" setting for these. Also it won't automatically choose the right sitting direction since the new blocks are not recognized as stairs.
But really minor things.

ProtocolLib has a 1.7 snapshot, and after testing it out, ChairsReloaded still does not work.

This happens because as owner, you have all permissions I am assuming. There is a way to disable this in the config file. In the config, change "per-item perms" to false.

Posted Nov 22, 2013Somehow your plugin seems to be the culprit for my server's random hangups... 20mins after startup it stops responding, read time outs and connection resets only, no errors. I am still not 100% sure, but so far it is okay without the plugin. Perhaps something with my other 60 plugins? I could post a list, if that could help?

No, it's not possible, you can't track keys.
Picking up items is really hard, i'm trying to do this, but still has to do some compact with premissions and broadcasting fake events.

No we can't add sneak back, because sneak is used to dismount entities, so you will instantly unsit if pressing sneak, and there is almost not workaround for this (i have one, but it is too buggy.).
And item pickup is not that easy, we need to check a ton of things before actually picking up item.

This is the smallest entity that you can sit on. In order for the client to see that you are sitting, there needs to an entity of which you are sitting on. This is the best they can do for now.
Maybe they can add a setting to use different entities. Like a cow. Whenever you sit, you are on a cow.

Because of the 1.6 update, dismounting mobs and vehicles is done by pressing shift. Because of this, this plugin had to be changed so that you dismount with shift. If you pressed shift+right click, it would automatically dismount you. You can change configurations or just do /chairs <on|off> for any addition changes you want
