This is a reload of the original Chairs mod by Spoothie. That plugin was no longer being updated so I have continued it here.
This plugin allows players to sit in chairs (stairs).
Installation
- Drop the Chairs jar file in your plugins directory.
- Setup permissions accordingly.

Commands & Permissions
chairs.reload
- /chairs reload - Reload the Chairs configuration file.
chairs.sit
- Sit down on chairs.
chairs.sit.health
- If the health sitting effects are enabled then players with this permission node are healed while siting.

According to your config you have sneaking set to true. Are you sneaking while right clicking to sit on a chair?

I have never used a plugin that does profiling. I have used VisualVM do some basic profiling of my server in the past. It's able to tell you which classes are using the most CPU. Based on that you should be able to figure which plugin is using your CPU cycles.

Do you have any particular profiler you suggest? I know the plugin NoLagg has one but I don't want to bother with all the other stuff that plugin has. Is there a plugin that just profiles?

The plugin really shouldn't be consuming much CPU or memory. The source is on github if you want to check out what it's doing. You should remove the plugin and see if it helps with performance. The best way to see what is causing your performance problems is to use a profiler.

Posted Nov 28, 2012Is there any way this plugin could be causing higher CPU usage or Memory usage? I know this is a small plugin but my server before this plugin was running with 80 + users ticking at 19 / 20 on average and only had at most 23% memory usage.
After this plugin I am getting tick ratings down to 12 and 10 / 20 and my memory usage has spiked up to 45%
is this plugin REALLY that resource intensive? btw this was the only plugin Ive installed in 5 days so there can't be anything else unless I have a ghost in my server

Posted Nov 28, 2012Just an idea for an addition, when a player sits in a chair, have the option to run a command. Then you could set it up so whenever a player sits, they go AFK. :)

Do you have sneak set to true in your config? Are you holding shift while right clicking a chair?

Posted Nov 28, 2012Still cant seem to get sitting to work, were on 1.4.5 bukkit r.02, 2488, r click on a chair does nothing, no errors in console either, any clues?

Also, a feature request. Config option to ignore snowballs when a player is sitting. greifers/annoying players like to throw them when people are sitting.

In version 1.10.2: With auto rotate off players will now face in the direction they were standing.

Posted Nov 26, 2012Would it be possible to add a config value so you can't sit on top-side half blocks? We rather like stone step chairs but people can also sit on ones that are on the upper part of half a block, which comes out rather odd.
