This is a reload of the original Chairs mod by Spoothie. That plugin was no longer being updated so I have continued it here.
This plugin allows players to sit in chairs (stairs).
Installation
- Drop the Chairs jar file in your plugins directory.
- Setup permissions accordingly.

Corner stairs:
Sign:
Commands & Permissions
chairs.reload
- /chairs reload - Reload the Chairs configuration file.
chairs.sit
- Sit down on chairs.
chairs.sit.health
- If the health sitting effects are enabled then players with this permission node are healed while siting.

Posted Sep 26, 2019Came across this on my server, using Paper in 1.14.4. Thought it was to do with world guard but no, turns out in some chunks players cannot sit on stairs.

Posted Sep 25, 2019when i sit, it always kicks me after 3 seconds back from chair, just says you are no longer sitting..
any idea whats happening?

Most likely arrow entity that player sits on gets removed for whatever reason. Most likely by some other plugin.

Posted Jul 30, 2019You should make it unable to sit on a stair when there is a block blocking above, limit the turning angle so you don't sit with your legs inside the stair, remove or make the arrow under the chair invisible. And if you can add slab sitting or tree logs sitting it will be cool too

Blocking sitting when block is above is good idea, will implement it later.
I can't really limit the turning angle (no standard way to do this, and just teleporting player on rotation will root extremely bad).
You can add custom blocks for sitting in configuration, see configuration explanation which should have been copied to chairs plugin data folder.

Posted Jul 19, 2019I got the same bug as Veggum and I looked up the Server log and it says:
Plugin Chairs v5.1 has failed to register events for class com.cnaude.chairs.listeners.TryUnsitEventListener because org/spigotmc/event/entity/EntityDismountEvent does not exist.
I run a Bukkit Server on the version 1.14.2

This plugin no longer supports running on CraftBukkit (as spigot doesn't support using CraftBukkit too). You need to use Spigot.

That's means that you actually didn't get off. Is the dismount message sent to you on dismount? Does plugin throw any errors on startup/mount/unmount/etc.

Nope, It just says "Press left shift to dismount" and when i do i get off, no messages, and after a while itll TP me back. Pretty sure its broken on 1.14.2..

Yeah, you didn't unmount (for plugin) for whatever reason there is, that's why you are teleported back every 50 seconds when new arrow is spawned to replace the old.
Check the whole server logs, maybe there is an error regrading chairs somewhere.

There will be no release for 1.14, however i'm planning to release it for 1.14.1, unless mojang suddenly decided to push another update.

Posted Feb 25, 2019Will latest version work with CB1.7.9-R0.2? Also, I couldn't see the changelogs after a version, it would be better if you post changelogs for future versions, thanks for the hard work.
