CartManager
CartManager is a little plugin I am making (my very first one and introduction to Java programming). It is simple yet effective at solving some annoying problems with minecart systems on your server.
Current Features:
Give your self one minecart to use! (Unlimited for creative members) Minecart is automatically destroyed when you get out!!! There is also visual effects! Minecarts can also be destroyed using a Hidden Block System (See Help Documents)
Commands:
/mc - Check to see if CartManager is acivated. /mc give - Add one minecart to your inventory. /mc give <player> - Give a different player a minecart /mc help - In game help documents.

Posted Aug 5, 2012Id suggest no collision with dropped items, mobs, players and other minecarts as options. Maybew only certain configurable blocks destroy and/or stop the minecart.
Certainly the 'add to inventory when exit' feature should work well.
Maybe if you can do something to edit the speed of minecarts, and also forward=acceleration? to give yourself a nudge.
Any way on improving powered rail?
Maybe a 'warp to minecart' sign? for jumping into minecarts already in motion?
Or a minecart terminal would be amazing, stand on pressureplate and when minecart comes past you automatically get in. Would be excellent for rollercoasters and public rail systems.

I have a suggestion on a future feature for this plugin to make it less instrusive to gameplay.
This is a good solution to an issue I'm having trying to ensure that minecarts are not left on a large public rollercoaster. but I can think of one way that would be even better then destroying the cart and having a command to give a cart. If you could drop the cart item to the player when it is exited. The players may not realize that they can get their cart back via /cm give .(your instructions say /mc but its /cm with v 1.0.1b (no issues to report so far btw)
I see this as the best non intrusive way to deal with this.
