Carrier Birds
Carrier birds is a plugin that allows you to send a bird that carries a letter to one of your buddies.
The plugin gets the distance between sender and target and then sets a delay on the delivery of the message, depending on the distance and the speed you can define in the config.
!Recommended for roleplay servers!
Commands:
- /bird (player) (message)
Permissions:
- carrierbirds.use
This is my first bukkit plugin (I made more but they are customly made for a server) support me in making more and buy me a coffee

My only problem is that, you can't configure the text and that the message says the name of the player who got the bird.
'A bird lands in front of you with a letter from (player who gets the bird instead of the player who sends the bird)'
So, Player A sends a bird to PLayer B and Player B gets the message 'A bird lands in front of you with a letter from Player B'.
So is it possible that you can make it that we can change these things in the config? :)

Hey. There's an error in the code for the plugin.
I've fixed it for my own server, but I do not know what the policy is for sharing this so I'll just tell you what to do:
On line 56 there's this line of code:
change that targetPlayer.getDisplay to player.getDisplay
Edit; I could probably add those features in a config file but again I don't know what the general feeling is of taking an existing mod and updating it :S

Posted Feb 9, 2018I know this hasn't been updated in a long time, but as it still works just fine with 1.12.2 I was hoping to make a request...
I found this plugin after testing a chat plugin which had a similar feature, only I didn't like the way the chat plugin worked it's channel system. What I did absolutely love was the bird idea to exchange messages, just as your does, from various distances taking a proper amount of time.
The one thing the chat plugin version did that I loved, was require a piece of paper to send the message. Any chance of rekindling the source files, and possibly adding such a feature (or the option to, via config file) to your plugin?

It sends a message through chat, there are no birds in minecraft (without mods) though the plugin caculates the distance between the sender and the target and sets a delay on the delivery of the message, you can configure how fast the bird goes

Posted Jun 20, 2014You should upload that as an image and set is as the default image so it becomes your icon in the list of plugins ;)
