Cannons
What can it do?
Cannons is a highly configurable plugin which allows you to fire block build cannons. It is possible to aim and load different amounts of gunpowder to hit targets at different ranges. The power of redstone makes it possible to set the gun to auto load and activate the rapid fire mode. Choose your projectile from a broad spectrum of cannonballs and smash the enemy.
With Cannons 2.0 you are also able to design your own cannons using .schematic files and give each cannon their own settings, as well as different types of projectiles.

Recommended plugins
- ObsidianDestroyer
- WorldGuard (flag protection: '/region flag NAME other-explosion deny')
- CreeperHeal (set 'custom explosion' for your world to repair cannon damage)
Installation
- Install WorldEdit first (don't forget this)
- Copy the cannons.jar into your Bukkit's "plugins" directory, then run the server.

Metrics
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version If you wish to disable this feature (/me cries), you can do so by opt-ing out, which you can do in the config file under /plugins/PluginMetrics/

Known Bugs
- The cannon ball (snowball) becomes invisible after 60 blocks but hits the target.
- Voxelsniper will delete Buttons/Torches when you load the gun (be careful when you click the barrel)

Posted Mar 24, 2013I have a problem. I'm able to create a cannon perfectly fine, and it'll fire... but when the shot blows up, it spawns MORE tnt out of nowhere, which also blows up. It then keeps spawning more tnt, creating a fiery inferno that appears to not end until I stop the server.
I'm using the default config for the plugin, so I'm pretty sure this isn't something I messed up in that regard...
EDIT: It has something to do with the buff that the ExtraHardMode plugin gives to tnt damage. My co-admin reports that disabling that fixed it.

Posted Mar 24, 2013I can only aim up and right. I cant aim in any other direction. I hold the shift button, as you said, but it doesn't let me aim properly.
Edit: Problem solved. I didn't do anything, only reloaded the config.

@TheMikeness There might be a plugin that alters the explosion resistance of a material, but cannons has a different focus. For obsidian there is obsidianDestroyer, maybe chat with these guys.

Posted Mar 17, 2013When will this be updated for 1.5? It seems to not shoot with any power. I have loaded it with full gunpowder, checked over the configs, etc. When i shoot it, the projectile only travels about 3 blocks no matter how many gunpowder and the type of ammo. Im not sure that the plugin being outdated is in fact the problem, but if it is please let me know. This plugin is amazing for my faction server and i really want it to stay! Thankyou for your time.

Posted Mar 16, 2013How viable would it be to add a feature to allow the player to arbitrarily alter the blast resistance of various materials, particularly water and lava? I think that would be extremely useful, particularly with water and lava as an alternative to outright disabling the protection they provide.

Posted Mar 7, 2013@Devinmont The gun needs to be loaded before firing, but you have that done already. Have you tried to flip the lever on and off. Actually it fires when the redstone is on (turns the redstone torch underneath the barrel off). Can you send me a picture of the cannon, if it is still not working?
Redstone firing will consume ammo if not deactivated in the config. If you place a chest next to the block with the torch on top it will reload automatically.

Posted Mar 7, 2013I have the autofire cannons set up the exact way you have portrayed, and the redstone is sending the signal, but yet nothing is happening. It's not even firing the already loaded gunpower and stone.
The normal cannon works fine however, I want the auto fire cannon to activate. Any reason as to why this isn't working ?

But I have some problems with moving plugins because they are works wery bad!!!(((
1) Ship moves every tick (or second) so I can't to move and fire with cannons on this ship. If ship will moving every 5-10 seconds, I will can to do it.
2) If ship is very damaged, the ship is becomes ruins, but don't drowns...
It happens because authors of moving plugins abandoned their progects(((

Posted Mar 4, 2013@JlJlJl Actually there is a problem, if you move a cannon with movecraft or whatever and restart the server. Because the database keeps everything tidy, it the deletes entries with no cannon on this position. But if the cannon was moved before server restart. I working on that problem.
EDIT: But there is no problem if you don't restart the server. So you drive like crazy with your aircraft and fire on everything.
