Project Status Update - 6/20/12
New: First beta of Digilock has been made available.
I have posted the last version (3.6) which is intended to restore a functional DigiLock system for chests. Its has issue, many issues. Backpack inventory drag functionality creates ghost inventory items, Shift+Click works, but is at time unpredictable, I recommend disabling Backpack or use at your own risk. Doubledoor mechanics DO NOT WORK. Sort works fine, books functionality is as it was. Again, this is a very buggy updates so please dont ask for bugs to be fixed in this release. This is a last ditch effort to restore digilock functionality while we wait for the new Digilock plugin to be finished. Keep reading for details on why we chose to do this.

- Books - This functionality has been removed and will not be re-added since Mojang is adding it to the core app.

Additional Comments: This has been a huge undertaking to re-code etc. I (dockter) have hired this out to a senior minecraft plugin developer. Please take that into consideration before filling up the comments section of this project screaming for an update to be completed. Rocologo ran out of his time to keep this up-to-date and I attempted to take it over and keep it current. With all the API changes in Spout and Bukkit I knew I was in over my head to keep a functional plugin working. That is why I decided to bring in a paid-developer to fix this properly once and for all. I personally have used this plugin since beta 1.7.3, it is a crucial part of my public Minecraft Server. There will be some additional details coming regarding both of these projects and I will update their new project pages once it becomes available to me.

Im sorry. I have tested this with TWO online users at my test server - buying and upgrading the backpack. It worked fine!
Please make a ticket if you find bugs! I cant solve bugs on the wall!!!!

I have just tested Bookworm on my testserver together with BIT. I had no problem at all reading and saving BIT Books and Bookworm books. I could read and write in both AND it was saved.
If you place Bookworn book in a bookshelf and then create an BIT Inventory in the same bookshelf. You can read the Bookworm book by right clicking the bookshelf. If you want to open the bookshelf inventory you point at the bookshelf and type /bs. and then you can place BIT books and Bookworm books in the Bookshelf.

Posted Nov 8, 2011Another note, one of my users belong t a group which only ahve permissions up to the 36-slot bag, still when he tries to do his initial buy he gets charged for the 54-slot one.

Posted Nov 8, 2011Hmm, the permissions, should all allowed be set for a group or just the highest allowed? For me I could info and buy as well without problem and a config file was created, everyone else though when using info or trying to buy gets charged the top version price (ie, it works fine for one user but not for the ones after him).

No, not at the moment... and at the moment Im focusing on fixing bugs in SpoutBackpack. I dont want to add more features to my plugin before its stable again.

I tested this last night, and it worked fine on my test-server.
/bp info showed me the correct price and "/bp buy" also charged me the amount of money specified on the config.yml

But I focus at fixing bugs at the moment so so new functionality is low priority.

in the config.yml so you can specify what the price is first time.

Did you try buying it by typing /backpack buy like it mentioned? If it's giving you a message you don't have enough funds. Are you running an economy plugin in such as: eConomy support for iConomy 4, 5, & 6+, BOSEconomy 6 & 7, Essentials Economy 2.2.17+, MultiCurrency? Either way, maybe if you go in the plugins/BukkitInventoryTools you will find a config file. Open it with notepad(plus plus), if you don't have it? get it. (That is supposed to be 2 addition signs after notepad but for some reason this page makes everything green and underlined after I put them, sigh) Now scroll down and you will see configurable upgrade prices. Change them all to 0.0 and try buying the backpack. I am unsure if an economy plugin is 100% required to unlock the backpack as I have one and purchased a backpack just fine after doing what I said above. See the initial purchase cost of 9 slots is the set price of the 54 slot upgrade as I said in the post prior to yours.

Posted Nov 6, 2011I was having an issue initially buying the backpack. The reason being is the initial 9 slots was charging me the price of the 54 slot upgrade which I had set to $50,000.00. I did not have enough money so it was first telling me I couldn't afford it. I see no way to configure the initial purchase and I even tried adding Price9: 2500.0 in the config just hoping but it didn't change anything.
Also I noticed that everytime I press B until I actually buy the backpack it spits out the message on how to buy one .../backpack buy.
Suggestion: I have no idea how possible this could be but I think it could be interesting and beneficial to certain types of servers. Is it possible to change the black/white list configuration so it works in conjunction with the upgrading. For example: Someone how only can afford the 9 slot backpack can only hold essentials like sticks, food, etc. Then along the way I could configure the 18 slot backpack to allow additional items as well as inherit the items it could have from the 9 slot backpack. Hope that made sense.

Posted Nov 6, 2011Oh and, how can i change the sound that plays when you open something locked with DigiLock? Because my server is Medieval-Roleplay based and the sound of a fingerprint scanner doesn't fit good :S
