By using BookPress you can duplicate your books!

How do I use this?
Simple, to make a book press you need 1 iron block and one piston. Arrange them like this in acual blocks:
P = Piston A = Air I = Iron Block

Make sure the piston is facing down. It will send you a message saying that you have created a book press. Next, write a book, sign, then take a book and quill, throw it under the press, throw the written book under the press. Then the piston should power and make a stack of 2 written books!
Permissions
There are 3 permissions:
bookpress.create - Allows the user to make a book press
bookpress.break - Allows the user to break ANY book press including other peoples presses!
bookpress.use - Allows the user to use a book press.

Posted Oct 15, 2014Hi there @Travja, I am having the same problem as @Ursak. I set it up and it worked fine, it copied two books just like it did in your video, then it just stopped copying them. It still makes the piston action animation but no longer copies the books. Here is a link to the error that came up in the console.
I really like the idea of this plugin and hope you can work out a solution. Thanks for making this plugin :)

Posted Sep 16, 2014Hmmm... No errors or anything. Copying a book worked, once. After that it didn't make any copies. It "pressed" the books but just left them unchanged.

Posted Aug 17, 2014I use it. I think it's great the way it is. It does it's job and it's elegant. I can't see any need or room for improvement.
I haven't gotten any bug reports from my users about Bookpress in a long time so I'm guessing it works ok (spigot 1.7.10).

Dude, this plugin has been around for quite a while. It was first conceived before book duplication was possible in vanilla. Crafting book and quill has been added quite recently and doesn't have any class nor style.

No. No it isn't. I throw the book + book that is to be copied there and they sit there for all eternity and nothing happens. I try again 100 times and nothing happens. Then I break the BookPress and build another BookPress 1 block away from the place of the old one -> And it works. I break that and build a BookPress on the place of the old one -> and it doesn't work (unless I remove it's data from the config and reload)

yeah, it's just the fact that you are picking up the book before it has time to register that it's in the press, try to keep your distance when making your books and you should be good. Kind of a hard bug to remove

Posted Jul 28, 2013I've been having trouble with BookPress for a long time.
Sometimes printing books just doesn't work and you have to make a new printing press to be able to copy stuff.
BookPress-1.1.2 for CB 1.5.1-R0.1 Spigot 1.6.2
But I've been having this problem from ever since 1.5.1 at least

Posted Apr 6, 2013Same problem here. Making/breaking a BookPress ingame does not work anymore. Existing BookPresses work just fine though only the creation/breaking part is broken.
@Desertive: ->
If you edit the config and manually add the coordinates where you want to have your BookPress and THEN build it ingame - it WILL work.
Use this simple workaround until travja has time to track down the bug.

Unfortunately we nowadays have problems with bookpress. It won't just work. There's ironblock placed underneath the piston but it just don't do nothing. I have default config (bottom block ID #42 as known as iron block). We'r using BookPress 1.1.1 and spigot #750. If you need more information, please ask! Thank you beforehand!
