Long Introduction with everything about playing the game
Sethbling made the redstone game Blocks Versus Zombies and I have attempted to remake it with bukkit. The game is a wave based survival game in which defenders have to defend a group of villagers from waves of attacking zombies. The game is fairly simple, each player gets a bow with infinite arrows and is supposed to shoot at the oncoming zombies. The players stand on an area called the 'ledge' which should be raised and the zombies and villagers sit in the 'lawn'. The zombies spawn on emerald blocks and will run at villagers who spawn on netherrack. For each kill a player gets, he or she will receive one point. These points can be used to buy turrets and walls. Walls have configurable costs and turrets cost 15 points a piece. For a player to buy a turret, he or she has to shoot at a dispenser while standing on a diamond block. The walls are marked by colored wool in the lawn, when a player right clicks on a wool block, the wall marked by the corresponding color of wool will be purchased and fence will be placed on top of the wool in the lawn. The game will keep sending waves (current wave number can be seen with a player's exp level) until one villager dies, when this happens, all players lose, there is a short recap, and the game goes back to the lobby. Players can leave at any time with the command '/bvz leave' and to join a game players have to use the command '/bvz join <arena>' where <arena> is replaced with an arena name. Arenas can be seen with '/bvz list'; arenas in green can be joined and arenas in red can't be joined.
Addition things:
- when a player leaves a game, all their turrets de-activate.
- killing zombies in rapid succession will be rewarded with gold that can can be spend at Crazy Dave's Shop.
- Crazy Dave is a villager that will spawn on a gold block on the ledge and will trade weapons for gold (not all weapons have been programmed yet).
Simplified game rules
- Kill zombies
- You get 1 points per zombie killed
- If you kill zombies in rapid succession, you can get gold for kill-streak rewards
- Walls can be bought, at configurable costs, by right clicking on a corresponding color of wool, it is good to mark the price so players know, and the plugin won’t tell them how much more they need. That takes work and I’m lazy, what can I say?
- Turrets can be bought for 15 points by standing on a diamond block and shooting an arrow at a dispenser within the lawn and it will automatically fire and mark itself with glow stone.
- Gold can be traded at Crazy Dave’s shop (only one trader at a time for now needs to work that out) for weapons that will have abilities in the future.
- You can only use white-listed commands set by admins/owners and no perm can block this, I don’t want people messing with it.
- Zombies spawn in a wave pattern (and may be configurable later), equations may be posted and they are off sine and cosine waves.
- use the command /bvz leave to leave at any time.
- when a player quits a game, all his turrets de-activate.
