usage

usage

This page will describe how to use BlockPainter in-game. BlockPainter wants you to build faster than you could ever imagine. Therefore it does not require you to type commands for every action.

controls

The main way of controlling your painting actions is by left clicking on a block. This will mark a block as the beginning or end of a job.

cuboid painting

This is the default painting method. It fills up a cuboid between two marks which you can make by left clicking with the material you have in your hand at the time of the last click.

Cuboid painting supports various fill types:

  • filled (default)
  • hollow
  • walls

filled

This fill type fills all the block between your selection

hollow

This fill type only fills the outermost blocks of your selection. The thickness of the outermost layer can be set with a command. For example:

/paint thickness 2

walls

This fill type only fills the vertical sides of your selection. The thickness of the walls can be set with the thickness command. For example:

/paint thickness 2

line painting

I would like to add the ability to paint lines as opposed to cuboids. This is as of version 1.8.1v1 not yet possible.

re painting

I would like to add the ability to paint copies of a selection. This is as of version 1.8.1v1 not yet possible.
