This is a very basic, but great, Minecraft Chest/Furnace/Sign protection plugin.
Working with Minecraft 1.^+ (Checked 16/8/13)

Features
- When someone places a Chest or a Furnace, it locks it just for them.
- If you are an OP. you can look in/break/AddProtection/RemoveProtection anyone's chest/furnace
- You can remove the protection
- You can add people to the protection so they can look in the chest too
- Permissions support
- I would suggest that you disable TNT if you use this plugin
Tutorials
Commands
/rp
- Look at the protected item/block
- Do /rp
- The chest is no longer protected. (Will have to do it twice for double chests)
/ap <name>
- Look at the protected item/block
- Do /ap <name> (<name> being the person you want to allow to look in your chest)
- That player can now open the chest. (Will have to do it twice for double chests)
/protect
- Look at the unprotected item/block
- Do /protect
- That chest is now protected, congratulations.

Posted Oct 3, 2013This could be the plugin I'm looking for... I just need one thing confirmed: When you say "When someone places a Chest or a Furnace, it locks it just for them. " Do you mean that only the person who placed the chest can open it? If yes, does it mean the /rp command make it public again?

But everytime I restart my server it wipes the config.. Considering I hadn't made a back up of those files in a long time, people weren't too happy in my server. Is there an official update which fixes this coming out?

Posted Dec 3, 2011This plugin is as advertised: very simple and very effective. I like it. It took no time to install and it had no conflicts with anything. However, there are two changes I would like to suggest if you have the time. One would be to allow enabling/disabling of the different chat messages. Many of us, as I'm sure you know, use chests and furnaces a lot and those messages fill up the chat box rather quickly. The other thing I would advise is allowing customization of the chat messages with chat colors if the messages are enabled. If those two things were added, I (and I'm sure many others) would very much appreciate it. Good work on the plugin.

Posted Oct 27, 2011Any chance of getting a feature to let the "lock" to disable itself or remove itself without deleting the chest, after a configurable time, for example if a player makes a chest and then stops playing, then the chest will be open to anyone after 14 day or something.

- What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel? Is there any plans on adding support for OPs to make chests locked when placed? Currently it seems to be only non-OPs that are allowed to make chests for themselves only...
- Please provide any additional information below. Say an OP wants to keep most players unable to open his or her chests... At the moment he or she needs to deOP, place the chest and then become OP again.
