Tried this update, thought it fixed the issue but then realised I was still in creative, no joy I am afraid, people with "*" still can't place blocks in survival throughout the world, as soon as they are placed they are removed, don't know if it helps but a second right click on the empty space were the block was, returns the removed block to your hand.

Thanks for the speedy work, your plugin now works pretty much as it should on servers running Java 7 for players with the default permissions, there is one small glitch, ops and Admins with the '*' permission can't place blocks any where in the world, they are removed as soon as they are placed, even with the nobuild and nobreak permissions negated and the bypass permission added, this only happens in GM 0, placing is fine in GM 1.

No errors in the console.

Finally a simple protection plugin that anyone can use, definitely a keeper for me, even with the glitch.

It loads up just fine and players can claim chunks, but as soon as another player breaks a block inside another players claim, the error comes up

This is on 1.8.3 build of spigot

My servers are running on a hosted service, so for many people like me I am afraid the choice of Java version is not something we can change.

Is this compiled in Java 8 by any chance ?
