Block Identifier
Block Identifier
Block Identifier is a simple plugin that makes building less painful for those who have yet to learn everything about the game. While this plugin began as a way for me to learn the basics of plugin development, many have since found it useful, and I have decided to maintain development.
Usage
"/GetBlock" is the plugin's main command. It allows you to find the Name and ID of any block you encounter. Using the command will toggle the Identifier. Then, all you need to do is simply right click any desired blocks.
Other Commands Use the command "/GetID" to get the Item ID of the item in your hand. Use "/GetLight" to find the light level of the top and the bottom of a block

No i'm not, but when you're building massive structures and gigantic custom worlds with the focus on theme and variety - it gets difficult to remember every single block and tedious to use block aliases.
Although I don't speak for the creator of this lovely plugin, I think it's safe to say that by you replying like that devalues the plugin's purpose and use. It's a wonderful plugin that saves server creators, world editors, and game creators much needed and valuable time. I don't see any harm in suggesting features to improve this.

Are you too lazy to remember all these blocks yourself?

Posted Jan 16, 2013Can you add these commands/features please?
/GetID <block alias>
What I would like to be possible is for me to just type in a command and get the id without having to have an item already - be it placed or in my inventory.
/GetID Inventory [selection]
/GetID Inventory
Gives the IDs of all items in your inventory
/GetID Inventory Hotbar
Gives the IDs of all items in your hotbar
/GetID Block Type
Gives IDs of all items of that type (a.k.a. wood .... wood trunks/logs....slabs...etc.)
/GetID FOV
Gives IDs of all items within your fov without giving duplicates.
