Better Tell
Better Tell
Better Tell is just a better version of Minecraft's default /tell command. It is incredibly simple and requires no effort to set up.
Commands:
/tell [player] [message] - Sends a private message to a player. You can abbreviate the recipient's name.
/r [message] - Quick reply. Sends a private message to the last person you talked with.
Installation:
Just drop Tell.jar in the plugins folder. There is no other setup.
Download Plugin and Source:
The source is embedded in the Tell.jar file.

Posted Mar 18, 2012Will you be releasing a version compatible with 1.2?

I wasn't sure if referencing bukkit permission nodes in a plugin.yml worked. :)

@Psithief
It's not all that difficult to do. You just need to edit plugin.yml and add permissions nodes. I'm pretty sure Bukkit does the rest for you.

I don't really see the need for restricting whispering. If I had more time I might add it, but at this time I've sort of fallen out of development!
That being said, the source code for the plugin is inside the .jar, so if you (or someone who knows how to) wants to edit the source, go right ahead.

Posted Feb 20, 2012This needs permissions.
Previously I could disable tells for players by taking away their permission "bukkit.command.tell".
Could you please make it so that your plugin.yml also references bukkit.command.tell for both /tell and /r ?

Posted Jan 15, 2012Just so you know, I'm using your math but implementing slightly differently. This was on request of the server admin.
