I've figured out how to remove them. I had to use a command block with "/kill @e[x,y,z,r=<radius>,type=!Player]" to remove all NPC shops.
Hope this is useful for anyone else that's had this same issue.

Posted Mar 6, 2015Our server has this plugin which is a great plugin, but with a few problems with worldguard and worldedit along side plotme we downgraded worldedit and worldguard to fix the problem with plotme and now we have run into a problem with bettershops. :/ Shops cannot be interacted with nor removed! What can we do about this? There are NPCs everywhere that we cannot remove.

Posted Mar 6, 2015Version 1.5.4 has been released to fix start up times and lag. Also more configurations with Transaction Histories was added. This is the last update before 1.6 as Alpha Builds have already been released on the wiki.

Theres a quick fix to this disappearing shop on restart problem just downgrade to version 1.4.1 and they dont disappear anback to a npc shop anyymore because its not that the NPC its self is gone its the shop in it is if you downgrade it works fine it just dupes the NPC on restarts which can be fixed by switching it back to a chest shop then

I assume that you are referring to NPC shops, am I correct? If not then the shops should not disappear unless an external plugin causes it.
If it is the NPCs, then I am 99% certain that this is caused by an external plugin (either a no lag plugin or something else). I can almost guarantee that this is not a bug on my part.
Please check to make sure that there is no external plugin that can cause this.

Are you running something in the background that can cause them to disappear. Sometimes a clear lag plugin can make NPCs and chests that have no contents in them disappear.

Posted Feb 22, 2015BetterShops 1.6.0 is now in an Alpha stage. I do not recommend using these builds on a proper server because they will most likely contain bugs. Especially because of the new item storage system.
Please only use these builds if you wish to help the development process.

You have to place the sign on the chest. It is a Minecraft vanilla mechanic to be able to place a sign on a chest via crouching. If you are crouching (A.K.A. holding the Shift button) you can place a sign on a chest, hopper, dispenser, etc.

Posted Feb 21, 2015Updated to the latest release. It is all the brokens. Can't change item prices; players buy stuff, it takes their money, they get nothing. Can't be too specific because my information consists of log into server -> anarchy.
