BedHome

Table of Contents

Teleport to your bed using /bed. Your bed is saved when you sleep in it.

This plugin is compatible with Spigot 1.8 through 1.17+!

FEATURES

Teleport to your bed with /bed!

Lookup other player's beds!

Teleport to other player's beds!

Charge players to set and teleport to their bed!

If your player's bed has been destroyed, they can still teleport to it, see its co-ordinates or neither, depending on the config.

One bed per world!

COMMANDS

/bed - Teleport to your bed.

/bedhome [reload/help] - Reload the configuration file. or get help.

/bedhome lookup/tele - Get the co-ordinates of or teleport to the specified player's bed. Please note usernames are case-sensitive.

PERMISSIONS

bedhome.bed - Allows players to use /bed

bedhome.admin - Allows players to use all mod commands

bedhome.world - Allows players to /bed to another world (2.2+)

UPDATER

This plugin uses Gravity's auto-updater.

This will detect if a new version is available and will download and install it on the next server reload.

This can be disabled by either going into /plugins/BedHome/config.yml and setting "auto-update" to "false" or going into /plugins/Updater/config.yml and changing "disable" to "true".

On servers running 2.0, this will not auto-update versions that support UUIDs as they may break servers using 1.7.2.

Hello!

My friends and I recently made a server just for us and we used your plugin, BedHome. And I have some problems..; In our server I am moving a bit further away, but when I do /bed I get teleported to where I first placed my bed. I have looked everywhere I can think of to see if there was a command to reset your bed, but I didn't find one. My question is, is there a command to reset your own bed that I just didn't find?

Hmm, I'm unable to reproduce that issue. Can you make a ticket on GitHub so I can help you diagnose better? Once you sleep in the second bed it should override the first automatically.

Hello! Thank you for this great mod!

1. Is it possible to let users use /bed but without the ability to teleport to other person's beds?

2. Is it possible to add a cooldown timer to use the /bed command only once per hour? Like a hearthstone in other games. It would also be cool if you'd see how much cooldown you still have in chat when you use /bed too early.

Hi Yen, thanks for the suggestions! Can you clarify your first point? Right now only players with the `bedhome.admin` should be able to teleport to other players beds through '/bedhome teleport <player> <world>'. As for your second suggestion I will add it to my list but for now I suggest that you use a third party cooldown plugin (there are plenty out there).

when a player tries to use /bed it says that their bed doesn't exist, even when they sleep just before. It works for me, OP, and with the day-time bed-setting enabled it pops me into bed and then out again when i right click on it during the day, but nothing of the like happens to players. I have tried disabling permissions and giving permissions but it doesn't work for anyone not OP

Hi Soil, sorry to hear you are having issues. What permissions plugin are you using? Is anything printed to the console when people set or sleep in their bed? Can you paste the output of /bedhome debug?

NOTE: sorry for the 2nd quick post, I'm using spigot for 1.13.1, but again it works fine for my op, it will just tell me any commands I use on other accounts that they do not have permissions.

My bukkit.yml is pointed to permissions.yml, which is what is pasted below.

I have never had to add permissions before and this has become more of a challenge than it seems it should be.

In the main folder there is a permission.yml, I only have 1 group, but no matter what I add it does not give me permissions to

bedhome.bed - Allows players to use /bed

groups:

- bedhome.bed

note it did remove some of the spacing on paste, I tried to match it up... Any assistance would be great as I simply want users to be able to tp back to their bed using /bed. It works fine for my /op sign in.

That's odd, can you give yourself the 'bedhome.debug' permission and take a screenshot of the output? On both accounts please. You may also want to try setting 'permissions: false' in your config file, which lets players use /bed by default.

I would love to, I think the issue is I do not get how to give my non-op players permissions to anything. So, I believe that is the issue and not say anything with bedhome. I would be able to do the debug from an /op but then they don't get any problems with any plug ins and I do not want any players joining to have all /op power of course.

Hmm, can you give permissions from another plugin and see if that works to help narrow down the issue? Alternatively, I highly recommend most server owners to use a fully fledged Permissions Plugin (I use https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/luckperms-an-advanced-permissions-plugin.28140/), as it is more feature full and sometimes less buggy than Bukkit's builtin permissions.yml.

Ofc we can't have you going around OPing all of your players, so anything I can do to help I'd be happy to.

Thanks, I have recently stumbled on to some of these, I was able to get it working using bukkitpermissions plug in. Though this one did not work for all my plug ins so also running permissionsex. I did try luckperms, without any success, but the others are perfect.

I guess I assumed somehow either the "spigot" permissions or a normal method for a minecraft server would allow permissions control rather than needing other permissions plug ins.
