NOTICE
For updated files, please use the BattleArena2 page. It has all of our updated files, and many of the issues that exist in the latest version here have been fixed through updates.
Default Competitions (all changeable)
- Arena: Fight with what is given to you in the config. You can't bring items in or out
- Skirmish: Bring in what you want to fight with, you take out whatever you pick up
- Battlegrounds: Winner is the highest kills after 1 minute. 4 teams may compete
- Colosseum: 4 teams against each other, last man standing wins
- FFA: last player/team left standing wins
- deathmatch: 2 minute event where if you die you respawn. Highest kills wins
Tournaments
- tourney: Pick a match type and do a single elimination tournament of that type.

Hey, how can I use classes and wool teams? Like, people die, respawn, get their wool team and choose their class, which wipes their wool from their head :S

Posted Oct 12, 2012I am using: BattleArena_v3.6.9.1 . It seems to be random the teleport bug. But it never happens in the Arena . It happens in FreeForAll..
Also it only happened when I made a waiting room for ffa.
Also alot of the times , when there is 1 person left in FFA , it doesn't announce a winner..
Ever...
Not sure if people are disconnecting or if people are using /back or something to leave and it doesnt know theres a winner? I have disabled /spawn , /home, sethome, etc

Let me see your config, maybe something is going on or didnt get loaded correctly. But pvp should definitely be on during the match.
Maybe there are errors in the console?

Lol when downloading the plugin read Known caveats. Says:
Warning I introduced permissions for using class signs which you will need to add for players to use.
arena.class.use.<class name> Example:
arena.class.use.* arena.class.use.gladiator

Ok well I have removed all plugins and I still am not getting pvp in the arena. It feels like I am missing a step or something. I am currently testing it on a test server and the only way to have pvp is by having pvp on any thoughts?

What version of BattleArena are you using? What you are describing is a teleport invisibility bukkit( or vanilla minecraft) bug that is well documented, just do a search for bukkit teleport invisible and you will get tons of results. I tried to make a workaround for the issue though in a recent version of BattleArena (which works for everyone I've asked).

So BOSEconomy has an error in their function currencyNameSingular() that throws this error whenever it's called. I have a workaround for this bug because someone else had this same issue. I put the fix into BattleArena_v3.6.9.1, which is release just not yet approved by bukkit.
I've heard if you subscribe you can download it immediately.

"potions" already have a duration, go into the classes.yml. the format is <effect>:<strength>:<duration in seconds> Example:
enchants: - speed:1:900 <- lasts for 900 seconds - resistance:1:30 <- lasts for 30 secondsFor the clases thing... hmm.. I suppose I could do that but it would probably be low priority. I'll put it on the enhancements list though!
