NOTICE
For updated files, please use the BattleArena2 page. It has all of our updated files, and many of the issues that exist in the latest version here have been fixed through updates.
Default Competitions (all changeable)
- Arena: Fight with what is given to you in the config. You can't bring items in or out
- Skirmish: Bring in what you want to fight with, you take out whatever you pick up
- Battlegrounds: Winner is the highest kills after 1 minute. 4 teams may compete
- Colosseum: 4 teams against each other, last man standing wins
- FFA: last player/team left standing wins
- deathmatch: 2 minute event where if you die you respawn. Highest kills wins
Tournaments
- tourney: Pick a match type and do a single elimination tournament of that type.

Posted Feb 8, 2014Hey Alkarinv, our server has been a loyal user of BattleArena for a long time. With the last update an extension you made, OneInAChamber, we found on your dev page stopped working. This minigame was surprisingly among our most popular games. I definately think you should update that one and maybe release it on bukkit! Only flaw the game had was that arrows fire could be picked up.
An additional feature I'd very much like to see is maybe have the option to set players within the arena to creative. This would be an ideal solution for servers that want to have a buildingcontest or for creative building in a restricted area in general since battlearena seems to be fail proof in sepereating game-mode and inventory.

Posted Feb 8, 2014Hi again, I -still- can't figure out how to set up my waitrooms properly so that people can choose a class. I tried /dm alter dm1 wr then added the signs and tried to click them (in survival), but it didn't do a thing. The classes don't show up during the match either. I didn't move, so I actually was where the waitroom was set to.
What do I have to do in order to make those signs work, is there a way I can "increase" the size of the waitroom so the signs are in it, or is there somewhere in the config where I can actually decide whether this is possible in the first place? (I do notice /dm join does not teleport me to that waitroom, does this mean something too?)..
I'm kinda lost here, and I'm sure it's a silly config bork, please help me (but be clear lol, I'm not that well versed)

Yeah, I'm currently fixing some of that, I added an option in the config in the most recently released version so you can disable this check entirely if you would like.

I have signs but after they choose once then choose again it tells then they can't change classes after switching weapons. I understand why that message comes up; it's because switching classes more than one causes a player to switch weapons. What I want is the ability for the the player to walk up to a sign at any point in the match and change classes.

Hey ThaRam, if the multiple waitrooms aren't working for each team then you'll have to wait for the next version or so, currently working on a number of team switching and other similar code.

Posted Feb 6, 2014Is there a way to enable tracking, yes I have BattleTracker installed, but no matter what I do all stats are at 0. No matter how many rounds or kills, it just shows <username> [1250](0:0) for every player.

That just creates the waitrooms, ive already done that. but no matter which team i join, i am put into a random waitroom from the two.(its not exactly random, it just alternates between the two rooms) could there be an other argument with joining to say specify wich waitroom you wish to go to? like /arena join arena2 blue waitroom2 ? or can we assign say, waitroom2 to blue team with a command or config?

Hmm, I don't understand. How exactly do I define a waitroom or arena then? So far I've put all the spawns, the /dm alter dm1 wr command and the like. How do I make it so the signs and/or people are "inside" the waitroom? :P
When I do /dm join dm1 for instance, it still doesn't let me use signs. :)

ok, say you have two wait-rooms and want to seperate the teams on join. is there a way to make a wait-room for each team? so far ive tried the commands to see if it would put me in one or the other depending on the team. but it just alternates no matter which was picked.

The class signs will only work for people that are "inside" the arena or the waitroom, they just look pretty for anyone else ;)
