NOTICE
For updated files, please use the BattleArena2 page. It has all of our updated files, and many of the issues that exist in the latest version here have been fixed through updates.
Default Competitions (all changeable)
- Arena: Fight with what is given to you in the config. You can't bring items in or out
- Skirmish: Bring in what you want to fight with, you take out whatever you pick up
- Battlegrounds: Winner is the highest kills after 1 minute. 4 teams may compete
- Colosseum: 4 teams against each other, last man standing wins
- FFA: last player/team left standing wins
- deathmatch: 2 minute event where if you die you respawn. Highest kills wins
Tournaments
- tourney: Pick a match type and do a single elimination tournament of that type.

Posted Jun 23, 2013Hi, I'm trying to make a class in which you get spawn eggs, but BA doesn't support that? I'm not getting any errors in the console saying that it's an invalid item, but when I click on the class I don't get anything. Here is my config for that class: necro: displayName: "&bNecromancer" items: - 283: 34:1 1 - 364: 4 - 383;50: 3 - 383;51: 5 - 383;54: 8 - 383;52: 3 - 383;66: 3 - 298: 1 - 307: 1 - 301: 1 enchants: - resistance:1:1800
Please try to make it work.

It would be great if you could have signs that display the information of a current game like in the survivalgames plugin, where you can see if a game is in progress, how long til start, number of players, etc. Thanks a lot, Tom!

I didn't see any errors in the console, I parsed classes.yml and checked out, haven't changed it since before most recent version (3.8.8.3.3). I can still create the signs fine, and hitting the signs multiple times even gives the "you can only change classes every X seconds" warning so that still works. But before, during a match, when you died you would respawn with no class and could hit a class sign to receive that class, now you just respawn with the default class all the time and trying to select a new one does nothing.
This is CTF matches btw, should I maybe just remove the default class from the config? I will try and test it out more tonight to see if I can get it to throw an error or something.
Also: was wondering if there is some way to set up a small delay between matches? When people are playing a match and other people join the lobby, when the match is over the people playing have no time to rejoin before newcomer's match starts.

Posted Jun 21, 2013Hi, I have problem with the scheduled events not working. I notice when the server starts up it states that a CTF event is starting and that's it. It is possible to join the event, but when it ends there are no further announcements and it is not possible to join again.
Also, BattleTracker 2.5.4.1.1 behaves strangely, no errors, but after restart the KDR and/or WLR signs are changed to Rating signs.

Posted Jun 21, 2013Hi, First of all I would like to say what a great job you are doing with this plugin, especially with all the continuous updates! I have a suggestion and a question: Question: Is it possible so that when people are killed, it is arena specific, so they instantly respawn and do not have to click respawn in the client? Sorry if this is already a feature, I am a fairly new user... Suggestion: Arena specific chat! I am currently setting up a pvp/factions server, but would like to incorporate some arenas, although it would be great if you could have arena specific chat, as currently all that chat from the arenas gets mixed up with everything else! Glad you got it working! yeah, names have to be exact and has to have "Config.yml" at the end.

You have teleportWaitroom inside of "onEnter".. I need to warn and automatically remove that.
You should have teleportWaitroom in, onPrestart, onJoin, or onStart... really anywhere besides onEnter. if you have it onEnter its like saying.. when you enter, teleport to the waitroom, which makes you enter, which makes you teleport to the waitroom, which makes you enter....

If there is no PvP make sure you have "pvp=true" in the bukkit server.properties. Also makes sure you aren't disabling PvP events through worldguard. I'm guessing that's it.
You can give them a default class in the config.. but otherwise there is no command right now for them to type besides clicking on a class sign.

Any errors on the console? They should work, but remember you have to be in a game for them to work.

Which version do you have? I think I fixed this, but if not I'll put up a version that does fix.

Posted Jun 20, 2013Hello, all the arena's ive made have been working fine. Except when people die it wont show the score boards at the side of the screeen anymore and thhe players names wouldnt be colored any more either. For example, at ctf you would have the list of players on the right side of the screen with the colors on there name. after you die the colors leave there gametags and the list at the side of the screen disapears. please tell me if this is a glitch or can be fixed because ctf gets confusing
