It was on a fresh server (i.e. no other plugins) and using the 2.3.0 build listed here.

Posted Aug 24, 2013Um banhammer is not functioning properly. I ain't sure what i am doing wrong. I just put the jar into plugins then run the server, for some reason it doesn't generate a folder with a config nor does it load so /bh history does not do nothing. Also /ban is continuing to be managed by essentials as banhammer is not loading properly

Posted Aug 24, 2013Decided to make it it's own comment.
Also, If I may request a feature for this plugin here, could you add /warn ings?, Thanks. Is there also anyway that I can track these bans? Maybe a banlist to add to my website, with all the kick / ban data from here? So players can just see the recent kicks / bans or search a player name and see their offences? Thanks.

Should not be too bad since the level 1 cache is still on anyway.

If you look inside the jar, the file is actually there. This problem has occurred before when the server is reloaded instead of being restarting it when you update the plugin. Try restarting the server and see if it persists.
Otherwise open up the jar and double check it is in there, if it is then remove all other plugins and try again. If you still have an issue place it on github so I can track it more effectively.
@soysuva
What version of Java are you running? BanHammer is tested to work on Java 6, 7 and OpenJDK 6.

Same issue on a fresh Linux server. Seems like it was shaded incorrectly.

It should take priority by itself, Essentials takes the lowest priority of commands. And it does override Essentials banning system on my server. There are a few things like /banip that still work in Essentials, as IP banning isn't a feature of this plugin. And if it doesn't take priority, just do like Dominator505 said, and add it in the Essentials "disabled-commands" part of the config.

Posted Aug 23, 2013Hello. I'm getting this error every time I start my server up. http://pastebin.com/avZ7K28N
It said "Can't find localisation/BanHammer bundle" and so I tried creating the folder "BanHammer", but I still get this error.
Also I'm using the essentials plugin, so I'm not sure if this conflicting with essentials (which I hope not).
Thanks for the awesome plugin and sorry for the trouble. :)

Look for the disabled commands in the essentials config file, and enter ban, kick, etc.
Make sure it does not turn green when editing (Notepad )

Posted Aug 23, 2013Hey, I currently have essentials and it comes with a banning system which I don't really enjoy. Does this plugin override it or something or do I have to disable it. I don't know how to disable essentials built in banning system but I hope this plugin will override it before I download this plugin can I get an answer to my question? Thanks in advance

Posted Aug 23, 2013In 2.3.0 what do you mean by "Disabled database caching due to a rare NPE caused by it."? Will you see a large performance hit because of this?

The purge command is still there I just forgot to register it at plugin start up. It will be back.
I'll look into the bug about recent bans. Please add it to github in the meantime so I don't forget.
@javoris767
What version of Java are you using?
@deathhzone
I need more information to help you.
@FuZeEclipse
Please turn debugging on by setting LOGGING to ALL in the config.yml and then post a issue at Github when the problem occurs again.
