Posted Aug 17, 2013On the BETA Snapshot - When you use /bh recent, it shows the most recent bans from the first ban made at the top of the list.
Can you please make it so the last ban made is at the top of this list.
Also, I have no /bh purge command. Can we get this back?

Try the latest development snapshot and see if that fixes it. A lot has changed so it is most likely this is fixed as well.
@HenzQ
I think this is a bug that affects only Windows users which is why I have not encountered it yet. I am looking into it.

Posted Aug 15, 2013I personally think this is the best banning plugin out there. I did however have an issue with ver 2.2.5 where banned players were still somehow able to access my server. I have since updated to the latests snapshot, released just yesterday and this problem has seemed to be fixed with it.
Keep up the good work @grandwazir. This plugin does everything I want a ban plugin to do - check ban historys - Nice looking messages in game & on the ban screen shown to the banned player. Easy to use commands. Great work :) Cant wait for a stable 1.6 version :)

Posted Aug 13, 2013I am pleased to announce a new beta version of BanHammer. After a considerable amount of time the plugin is now tested automatically to help avoid any major future bugs. If you would like to beta test the new version you can download it from my maven repository.

If you are using Alias you will need to update to the latest snapshot as well (1.4.0-SNAPSHOT) which is available on the same website.
The API has also changed so plugins that work with BanHammer will break until they update. Sorry to those authors but the new API should be easier for you to work with.
Please report any bugs on GitHub. If it seems stable I will release a proper version by the end of the week. Thanks for waiting patiently!

Sounds great! Love the plugin, helps me monitor my staff so I can see who banned who, when and why! Great for server owners with trust issues ;)
Thank you!

The import command takes all the names from banned-players.txt and adds it to the database as permanent bans. If Essentials can export to that file then you can import the bans.
@MrOpp
Use my other plugin Alias along with this to get that.
@Maroseliss
Weird. Once I get the new version up run it in debug mode for a while so we can see what is happening when it happens.
Speaking about the new version I am putting the finishing touches on a beta version which should be available tomorrow. I am hoping for a stable version by the end of the week.

Posted Aug 12, 2013Is it possible with this plugin to import bans from Essentials?
EDIT: I see that there is the command /bh import that will do that?

Yeah, everything works perfectly (command works, shows in game, shows in console, etc). It's not all the time, but it does happen often. When someone is banned, it says they were banned. No errors in console, etc. If they are not IP banned they are able to log back in just fine (again, no errors). Even days after they have been banned it still shows them banned, but they're able to log in once in a while.

Hmm. Is the ban entered into the database? Does the command return that it has succeeded? I'll need some more information.

Are there any errors showing up in the log when this happens?
@gbprogamer
It is 70% complete. I am working on it. I hope to have a beta out soon.

Posted Aug 10, 2013I've been having the same problem that Droxiiii was having. After a player is banned, it doesn't kick them/ban them. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. No error messages, it honestly doesn't make any sense to me.
Example: Someone joins the server and spam advertises. We try to ban him, the ban goes through but does not kick the player nor actually ban them.
I've tried BanHammer versions 2.2.0, 2.2.1 & 2.2.5 with the same results.
Spigot version: 1049 (1.6.2 R0.1)
