Hey great ban plugin, thanks.. I tried ultrabans and the timing reports averaged 25ms over a 45 minute time frame. Yours is 0ms :D Really like the info given to banned players when they attempt to connect and the broadcast shown when a ban is issued.
I want to give mods tempban commands like banhammer.ban.medium but they dont work without banhammer.ban and this gives them access to permanent bans. Could you add a permission for permanent bans? Or explain to me what I'm doing wrong.

This is a PermissionsEx group's permissions for a basic moderator. I want them to be able to temporarily ban with a max time of 3 days (medium). banhammer.ban gives the user perm-ban permissions. banhammer.ban.medium has no effect.
Please advise.

My Moderators have both permissions banhammer.ban and banhammer.ban.long but they can still ban longer than the specified time.

Posted Jan 16, 2013So I noticed permanent bans have the 'reason' shown to the player who tries to connect, but timed bans don't. Is there any way to make it so timed bans also have the reason shown?

They need banhammer.ban to be able to use the ban command.
banhammer.ban.long then allows them to ban up to whatever time you specified in that limit.
To ban for any length of time (including permanently) give your moderators banhammer.ban.*

I am glad you like it. You can download the sister plugin to this Alias which means that BanHammer will then ban any alts as they login with the same ban.

Posted Jan 2, 2013Great plugin! Working like a charm, but was wondering if you could possibly add an ip-ban function for those who seem to have an endless supply of alts. Otherwise, I love the current functionality, especially the short/medium/long bans!

I can't duplicate that issue here. Please open an issue on GitHub please with BanHammer as the only plugin being loaded and the full console log from the start of the server to when the error occurs.

You can change all the text in BanHammer. I designed it this way especially for people who wanted to translate it. See https://github.com/grandwazir/BukkitUtilities/wiki/Localisation for details.
If you do translate it please send me a copy so I can then include it for everyone.
