This plugin is exactly the kind of backpack plugin I'd like to use. The ability to control exactly how many rows appear as well as being able to drop items upon death are unlike all other plugins similar to it. However, there are too many issues with it for me to let it remain on my server.

1. It immediately messes with any items that have lore on it. (removes all color/font settings)
2. It immediately destroys any enchanted book placed in the backpack (removes enchantment)
3. It randomly deletes items. It would probably help if it wrote data to a separate file instead of inside the config file or maybe to a MySQL database.
4. It randomly renames items to " and the lore to "

How to disable stacking undeclined backpacks? It's terrible.. Players are crafting some unregistered backpacks, they are stacking it, and right click. Then they are having a lot of copy of his backpack. It's not all.. If they will give someone his/her copy of backpack, and they will open it from the same save (at the same moment), they can copy items. Can you fix it? Anyway, sorry for my english.. It's not my main language.. I think this plugin is unuseable for now. So buggy.

Is this plugin still being managed? Don't want to be using a plugin thats nolonger being supported. If it is still being supported. I have a suggestion. Could you make an option to allow us to use a backpack while in creative mode?

I'm getting reports from multiple people that when they click the 2nd sort button, the items in the backpack are sometimes getting deleted. For example, it could be a bone one time, food the other but never consistent. This is a showstopper for me until this can get fixed. I'm using CraftBukkit 1.6.2-R0.1 BETA (Build 2838) with Java 1.7.0_25 (64-bit) on Ubuntu Server 12.04.2 LTS (64-bit) and PermissionsEX 1.20.1

EDIT #1: @semirotta, that means if someone uses this source code and makes a fork, it is required that this author be given credit for the plugin. Not that it cannot be modified.

EDIT #2: Also have reports and proof that items are getting renamed to two single quotes or maybe one double-quote. This happens only sometimes when the sort button is clicked. However, if there is an enchanted book, it will get wiped out and just says "enchanted book" with no enchantment on it anymore. It will do this every time. Is there a way to just disable the sort buttons?

There is a new duplication glitch with this plugin, I will message it to you, and then I will have donated for you to hopefully push out an update asap.

Kursty i believe this plugin is no longer being developed, i havent had any kind of answer to my bug report nor questions here.

I found a bug.. Players in my server sometimes cant pickup any items but inventory is not full. And on console are no errors!

Why is that almost every plugin I'd love to have are either dead or just abandoned.. :O

There is a documentation flaw on the main page:

per-world: if this is set to true there will be one backpack per world, if it is set to false each world will have a separate backpack

It should read as:

per-world: if this is set to true each world will have a separate backpack, if it is set to false each world will have and share the same backpack.

I noticed that there does not seem to be a permission node for admins/moderators for opening other's backpacks. If this is limited to ops only, can a permission node be added? I don't allow anyone to be op on my servers...myself included.

so we need a better way to deny these permissions per world.
granting backpack.1 to a player in one world but I want to block that from being used in world2. I have to use the deny permission of -backpack.1 for every player that has this for every world I want to deny. Better way would be for this plugin to have a setting for what worlds we are able to use this, similar to how you cant use it in Creative mode.

Ok we have found an bug.

Basically the "sorting" of items bugs the NEW items and enchanted books for sure.

Pig350: Ok when i needed to move stuff to my new house i went and put stuff in my backpack. So then i wanted to see what the organize button did but when i did it i had more inventory space then i realized that my saddles and some of my horse armor was gone and all my enchanted books in their were blank.

Semirotta: You mean the book changed into normal book?

Pig350: No it just said enchanted book with a enchanted book texture but nothing said anything after the title
