GUILDS
Guilds is a fully customisable RPG plugin that allows you to create Guilds with distinct advantages and disadvantages over other players and Guilds. You can increase or decrease attack and damage or even enable special abilities. Suitable and customisable for multi world servers.
Guild Configuration
Each guild is fully customisable and allows for millions of different variations. There are 57 Proficiency Types, Item Restrictions/Limitations, Active Worlds, Active Biomes and Home Bases. A player can only be in one Guild at any one time.

Settings
Settings allow you to control the wider aspects of the Guilds plugin, to enable or disable various features and to customise the look of the plugin in the players chat box. A list of settings in the settings.yml file click here.

I think you should just take what Jaydex posted about the traits and put it under the traits section above (with his permission of course).
Also I may have mentioned this before but, would it be possible to make the traits have 2 values? The first would be for when the player is in their guild's biome and the second would be for when they are outside of it. Otherwise setting traits to be weaker in their biome would just make them weaker in their home territory.
To make the config file smaller for admins, there could be a value set like:
attack: 200:50
so they would have 2x attack in their biome, but only 1/2 attack outside of it ect.
This is probably also complicated to program so anything like this would be appreciated.

Also, Flight is used by holding shift if you were unsure, If you have any plugins such as Anticheat or NoCheatPlus, They do not give expections to this plugin, so you will have to manually give permissions which allows them to use the following nodes for Anticheat.
Also, make sure you allow flight on your server, cause in the server.properties, Minecraft has an option which allows flight (Just checks if they are in the Y Axis for to long/floating for to long, you want to set this to false. Also for your insane damage issue, you should just reload the server and don't set it extremely high, if you decided to look at my config, you would see reasonable values which shouldn't seem to overpowered. Long ago, I set a class with 300 Melee, they could 1 hit an enderman, so if its up there, it would seem reasonable that you are instantly killing a zombie (WITH A WOODEN SWORD)!

Wow, thanks so much dude! Still haven't fixed flight but i'm not giving up! I have copied what you've told me and saved it as a word file. Bit sad that not even you are sure about magic, that one is the one I was most unsure about, I assumed it may have meant potions or even enchantments, though other mods/plugins sounds more likely. Glad to have fixed the "attack" problem, the only downside with melee is swords all kill zombies in the same amount of swings once I've changed it. I'm hoping that's meant to happen and that i've not messed something up. Anyways, you're a virtual life saver!

Traits, yes are confusing to understand, but here is a list which is in ENGLISH. Hopefully this should increase your understanding of the GUILDS Plugin, its quite an fantastic one as well.
@DonHoliday The (2) issue which you are having, this is surely a bug with the flight ability, a simple relog would simply fix it, or make the person guildless. Hope the trait guide above helps you with the understand of what traits are & for your (1) issue, it is likely your craftbukkit is incorrect or another plugin may be interfering with it. Its best to isolate the plugin itself and reinsert your config into that new server to see if the issue is occuring, it not its likely another plugin, if so, UPDATE EVERYTHING.

Posted Jul 10, 2012@Avocardo I got some suggestions. Maybe making Secondary Guilds which can only be joined if the player is currently a member of a normal guild. Another suggestion is that some groups need a particular permission node to join in. Eg. Guilds.join.[GuildName]

I wish there was a clearer explanation on what each Trait means. I mean some are obvious like drowning 0 means you don't take any drowning damage, but some like contact, player, mob aren't as clear to me.
Does mob mean that mobs do less damage to you, or you to them?

Posted Jul 10, 2012Hey! Loving this plugin to bits! Set up each guild as a race sort of thing ... anyway don't want to bore people with info of my server, i'm sure you all care way more about your own. A few problems I don't know if you know about and plan on fixing (or that I alone get).
1) /guilds traits (elf for example) attack 500 gives me something along the lines of "Attack is not a recognised trait". I have tried copy and pasting yours in case i do some weird mis-spell each time, but same problem.
2) If the guild has /flight false ops can't fly in creative without typing /fly. Even after doing this they cannot fly forever and eventually fall again.
The only other slight issue is this webpage, when you say in the traits "mobdamage/player damage" I have no idea if that means players do less damage to you, or you do more to them. Tried it out on my server and it seems like a bit of both depending on which trait it is. Keep up the great work!

ALSO AVOCARDO The IP 176.31.133.168 doesn't seem to allow players to join at all. (EVEN TESTED WITH SPOUT)
Lucky for you foxwillow & provinceman, I can fix some of your issues.
(Please note that by using my method, it fixes the hunger but causes food to heal 50% less) Ok Now for the trick, to make the hungerbar go down, change the food trait so that it = 200. You can compensate the 50% heal reduction on food by changing starvation to = 75 so players do not need to eat as frequently.
To fix the config reset issue, please make sure your server.properties level-name=world. Please do not change it since it will cause the config to reset, if that doesn't fix your issue, when ever you edit a config, do it while the server is offline.
SIDENOTE: Also Provinceman, once Avocado adds permissions, you'll be able to utilize the plugin Magicspells to give guilds special abilites (modify to mana) since mana is best and new players can easily cast them without issues, since the plugin Magicspells gives admin the ability to grant spells on rejoin (IF IT EVER SUPPORTS PERMISSIONS). This of course is thinking ahead of time, but I'm hoping GUILDS is moving towards that direction.
SIDESIDENOTE: For those who are having issues with the config, or have no clue what you want for your guilds, here is my config, it currently consist of 4 guilds, since less guilds tends to be best since you want some friends in them :D. Them being a dwarf = tank, human = balanced, elf = range and Dunmer = Assassin. http://pastebin.com/bh2G1k5F (It has been configured with prefixes and no guilds + allows base) (NEEDS TO BE SET)

I sent a message to someone from a bit ago who also had the hunger issue to see if he fixed it, he never responded though...
that's at least 3 of us now :( my server is handicapped without this fixed and i really want to use guilds. arrrgh!

I'm also having the same issues as some people.
1. When I restart my server, my config.yml is reset to default and I lose all my work, loading/saving does nothing.
2. When you set recoverhealth to true, you do recover health, but you don't starve either.
3. A skill that boosts movement speed would be really awesome, also one that lets you breathe/build/move quickly underwater would be amazing as well.
4. Also please make Flying a different key, cause it interferes with sneaking.
Really looking forward to the next release, hopefully you fix the restart glitch so I can keep using this.
