Usage and Information:
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture

- The Metrics version Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.
This plugin features an update command which will check if you are running the latest build and download the update to the plugin folder if it not currently installed. You are required to trigger the command manually and you must restart or reload the server for changes to take effect.
Thanks to my donators!

it works fine for me, just add the rule ,suffix: '', to the old config under prefix and the message will not appear
@MissEnzeru
the name lists on the default config are "default" and "VIP" rename them or add more. Example:
"/am broadcast default 4" wil broadcast then "These messages will be displayed to users with \nautomessage.receive.default!" (taken from the default config)
"/am broadcast VIP 1 " will broadcast then "This message will be displayed only to users with \nautomessage.receive.vip!" (taken from the default config)

Do your regular users have the automessage.receive.* permission?

Posted Jun 2, 2013[BUG REPORT]
My AutoMessage auto-updated to 2.3.0 and suddenly every single AM broadcast has the word [Suffix] appended at the end.
I removed 2.3.0 and re-installed 2.2.1, then disabled auto-update.
Now the [Suffix] tag is gone from auto-messages.
So, it appears 2.3.0 does not work with 2.2.1 configurations.

I myself have not made any. There is quite a bit of documentation in the various pages listed above and feel free to ask any questions. Just be sure to read the FAQ first :)

Posted Jun 1, 2013Would you happen to have a full video tutorial? I'm new to this and none of your written information makes sense to me. All I want is to have announcements run on my server and I can't seem to get it to work.

I may consider adding this in a future update.
@MegaCraftStaff
I will be adding this in the next update :)
@macethebass
You have to negate the permission node. Add the perm -automessage.receive.default.

Make sure you're spelling the permissions right!
Correct: automessage.receive.default Incorrect: automessage.recieve.default

Posted May 28, 2013Hello, ELCHILEN0! I absolutely LOVE your plugin! It works absolutely great! Although I would like to see a few things added soon, if possible. I think you should add a suffix to the messages (Ex. /am suffix <List> <Suffix>), it would really help-out a lot. And if at all possible, I would like to see a AutoMessage customize able broadcast (Ex. /am cbroadcast <Prefix> <Message>). I would use them both for our Voting plugin so we can have a nice broadcast Prefix, and message. If you can implement this into your plugin. I'd be very glad!

Posted May 28, 2013I'm having an issue where when i make a custom list and give the permission, they don't work. only ops can see them. for instance if i make a list called member and it looks like this
member:
enabled: true
interval: 45
expiry: -1
random: false
prefix: '&r[&bMEMBER-BROADCAST&r] '
messages:
- 'Message 1'
even if i assign the perm automessage.receive.member the only people who can see it are ops. any idea why this is happening?

Posted May 28, 2013I absolutely love this plugin! It is one of the more straight-forward plugins I run on my server and the simplicity of it makes it wonderful to use and explain to admins. My question is this, and please forgive me if I simply missed it when reading the comments and FAQs.
How do I disable an auto message list from going out via permissions. My situation is that I have my groups inherit permissions from each other and I don't want my upper div players getting the default group's automessages. I am using PEX.
Thanks in advance.

Posted May 25, 2013Can you add random timers to the interval feature? Giving an example shows better what I mean.
Interval: '10m-20m'
This means that the messages inside of this list will be sent with a random interval between 10 and 20 minutes.

When I think about it.... I agree with you about the MySQL suggestion, not sure what it could help with.
I would really like to be able to set a suffix though. :)

You spelt recieve wrong... its receive.
@Marium0505
Suffix I may consider as I genuinely feel that would be useful. As for MySQL support I just dont see how any of the related data would map to a database short of having the message lists in a database. Even then though that is a bit overkill for a broadcasting plugin. If you can offer any other suggestions then I may go ahead and add them.
