- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version

Actually this is already possible with the message-list format. Simply add a different message list with a different prefix and give your players permission to view the messages from it. Different prefixes for different messages will not be added as it can easily be done by hand.

This is fully possible with permissions. Simply negate the receive permission for the groups/players by adding the permission automessage.receive.{message-list} replacing {message-list} with the name of your list.
@WolfClawsKevin
That sentence looks fine. Could you provide a copy of your entire config and any error logs associated? On some form of online paste service preferably.

Posted Apr 15, 2013Hey,
What's the problem with this sentence? - 'Need &4help&r? Use &6/ticket (message)&r! Need &4help&r with the &6tickets&r? Use &2/helptickets&r'

Perfect explanation! :) What exactly do you mean by the chat cooldown?
@matty_mitchell
I will add that to my todo list!

Actually it is very simple, just a little complex in the description of how to use (no enough detail or explanation). Here this will get you going.
Your can create groups for all your message to spew out from. By default there are two groups created, default and vip. In order for all your players to see the default message list group, give them the permission node of: ' automessage.receive.default ' . If you rename this default group to something else, just change the message-list node identifier after the "receive" in the node to that renamed message-list name.
Additionally, if you wanted to give your Moderators or VIP players access to see messages you put under the VIP message list group, give them the node of: automessage.receive.vip. It's really that simple. Again, if you don't like the name of the message-list group, VIP, and change it to something else, just change the last part of the node to whatever you rename the message-list group to.
All player will receive only those messages they have a perm node to. It's quite clever and nice. Especially if you just want to broadcast messages to your moderators, admins, donators that don't apply to the general players....

Posted Apr 14, 2013Not really so simple. There seems to be information missing that I can't find. All I want is for users to be able to read the messages. Not change them or even otherwise access them. Loaded everything in and have my message running, but my ops are the only people who can read them. How do I allow this to lower ranks? I'm running pex and tried putting it in permissions but apparently that's wrong. :/ Help?

Posted Apr 13, 2013Suggestion for next update: Have the ability to have groups for the messages so you can have multiple messages for different prefix's. So like prefix: '[test]' messages: - test - test prefix: 'tip' messages: - tip tip - tip tip tip ect. ect.

@MrGobbles
You have to configure permissions correctly. Add automessage.receive.(message-list) to the appropriate groups. (message-list) should be replaced with the name of the list.

This should not cause your server in any way. If you are encountering lag I reccomend enabling timings in bukkit.yml then running the command /timings and inspecting the output. As for your issue with messages not broadcasting, add the permission automessage.receive.default to the player groups that you want to receive these messages.
@KAJSERCRAFT
Umm... its working fine with any version running 1.4.5 or greater.
