What is AutoMessage?
AutoMessage is an easy to use chat scheduler plugin. It is a plugin perfect for server admins who would like to announce broadcasts at configurable intervals. The plugin features a rich in-game config editor as well as the ability to edit the config from the disk. The plugin is designed to be very lightweight and cause no impact on server resources! Installation:
Just drag and drop into your plugins folder then restart or reload your server! Simple!
Usage and Information:
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.
This plugin features an update command which will check if you are running the latest build and download the update to the plugin folder if it not currently installed. You are required to trigger the command manually and you must restart or reload the server for changes to take effect.

Have you edited the default config? If so, did you add the messages under "message-lists" or under "vip"?

The expiry is basically a time in milliseconds since January 1, 1970 00:00:00 UTC. Once the date has passed all messages in that list will stop broadcasting. I recommend using the in-game commands to set the date as it can be a little confusing when setting the milliseconds in the config manually. I hope this helps!

Well I would strongly suggest using the early 2.0.0 versions if you cannot update your craftbukkit. Otherwise go into the FAQ section and read the part about configurations being reset.

Posted Mar 21, 2013Hi, i'm using version 1.5 for CB 1.2.5 and everything work decently fine, but when i add lines to the config then use /automessage reload it makes my config go back to default, so i literally have to restart my server, which can suck cause i add lines sometimes daily and my server is busy people don't like extra 1-5 restarts a day, any fix for this besides updating as i can't?

Better default configuration saving/loading (eg. You no longer need to manually update most parts of the config) and an Expiry to disable the messages after a certain time.
