- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version

Agreed. What about just a time based config param then. It would run the same time each day based on local server time? It would be an either or with interval - only one would be used. Would that make it too big? Thanks for considering. I got the idea about the other events when I was looking at the extras and saw variables associated with what world or biome the player was in. Triggering a message when someone entered a specific world for instance.

That would be a good feature!
@roboblaze @Marium0505
There is no limit on the number of lists or messages.
@roboblaze
I may be able to do this however I do feel it makes the plugin a little large.

Posted Mar 5, 2013Can you add a feature for other triggers other than interval based? I think it will work well with the command lines. One example - day/time based - so something always happens at a specific time and or on a specific day. That way I could set up a message for users that there will be a reboot, and then do a save and restart, or open up permissions at a certain time of day and let people know they could do whatever - so I could manage certain features at peak times on the server. Messages for other trigger based events would be cool too but a little more complex.

For me, I created a few list and then set the permissions in my default group in my permissions plugin. I created multiple lists, one for "everyone", one for a "newsfeed", one for "quotes". You just have to watch the timing interval so you arent spamming the users with messages. I also created lists for my more advanced groups as well. Lots of possibilities.

I will look into this. The exception wasn't logging correctly when I tried last time but I can have another go at it sometime soon.

Posted Mar 2, 2013Great plugin. A couple of things I noticed. 1) would be nice to have an error message if you manually edit the config and a message is malformed - example using a ' 2) It may be just me, but I couldnt find a way to change intervals from within minecraft, and when i tried /am reload it didnt appear to change the interval.

How do I configure lists? Or find current lists?

Messages are stored in message list which have configurable properties. You can have multiple lists broadcasting with different intervals to different groups if you choose to configure so. /am list shows all the configured lists and /am list <List> shows all messages with their indices. /am broadcast <List> <Index> broadcasts a message from the specified list with the specified index.
@WolfClawsKevin
Can you make me a paste with your entire config? Also try checking your config for invalid YAML syntax here: http://ess.khhq.net/yaml/ and correct the errors as necessary.

Posted Mar 1, 2013Hey,
I'm new to this plugin and it first worked but now it doesn't... I reinstalled and the list set by default worked, then I made changes in it and it stopped working. I used color codes but the plugin should support them. It has nothing to do with permission nodes because when I type /am list it doesn't show up as well.
Here is how it looks now: http://prntscr.com/umodw
Please help, Kevin
